1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service. – Romans 12:1 KJV
Hello family, Ask Not What Your God Can Do For You! But AskWhat You Can Do For Your God! Let’s be honest with our selves, we ask God for a lot! Majority of it is for self benefit. As this year has progressed God has been shifting my mindset from “God do for me!” to “God what can i do for you!” It’s not that i don’t ask Him for things for myself. It’s me coming into my personal time with God. With the mindset of a soldier reporting for duty, ready to execute His will.
We are in a time where we cannot get comfortable. we really should be doing the opposite. we should be prepared and expecting to be placed out of our comfort zone. I never met a soldier that fought with fuzzy bunny slippers on with a remote in there hand with a jumbo bag of popcorn. When God calls report for duty!
Ask Not What Your God Can Do For You! But AskWhat You Can Do For Your God!
Hello family this week God confronted me aboutun-forgiveness. not toward another person but toward myself. he showed me that it had become a burden i had placed on myself. and it truly was hindering me in my walk. If i am going to be all that God called me to be, I cannot hang on to these regrets. I have repented of them and God has forgiven me of them, so why should i hang on to them?
I have attached a link to two songs, play one or play both whatever you feel lead to do. They have blessed me I pray they bless you.
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” – Jeremiah 29:11 NLT
14 Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. – 2 Chronicles 7:14 NLT
Hello family these two scriptures have been stirring around in my mind during the week. These scriptures are two puzzle pieces that fit together. as a matter of fact they need each other. 2 Chronicles 7:14 representing Us yielding our self to the will of God and Jeremiah 29:11 representing the rewards of our obedience to God’s will. You can have one without the other.
Yes, God does have awesome plans for us. But it requires us to line up in obedience to God.
30 He must become greater and greater, and I must become less and less. – John 3:30 NLT
Hello family, One thing John the Baptist understood from the day one of his ministry is that he was an open vessel for God to use. John understood that he needed to have himself and all His opinions out of they way so the untainted word of God could flow through him.
Opinions, reservations, prejudices, attitudes we develop from this world must not just be put aside but must be extinguished. Don’t believe me see2 corinthians 10:5. all too often God has a message to be delivered and he decides to use you as the vessel to deliver it. We receive the message but we look it and try to fix it because it wont bring more followers to our blog or its gonna hurt my best friend feelings or people will move on to another church and stop coming to mine!
Here is a reality check! WHEN IT COMES TO DELIVERING THE MESSAGE HE GAVE YOU, GOD DOESN’T CARE TO HAVE YOU INSERTING YOUR FEELINGS, OPINIONS!All He wants is for you to daily practice yielding yourself to His will so His work will be accomplished.
What you want you will find! Ill say it again what you want you will find. We will move heaven and earth to get to tv to see the football game on time. We leave our phone on our lap in the middle of the minister bringing the message so we don’t miss that notification from Facebook. #guilty We will feel God tug on our hearts to walk outside and spend some QUALITY TIMEwith Him but we will tell him I’m busy not right now and then go and the most unproductive thing to do.
From the very beginning from Adam till to this very day All God wants is to have intimate quality time with you His creation. the questions will you be available
4 And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here [am] I. – Exodus 3:4 KJV
Hello family, I don’t fully understand all that God as set before me. What i do know is that He has called me and I must answer. I cannot turn away from the “burning bush” He has set before me. He has called me for such a time as this!
God is presenting “burning bushes” to those He has chosen and they have to answer. You may not fully understand the “burning bush” in front of you but it is the first step you must take to accomplish all that God has for you. Don’t try and force it, if you do you will just burn out. It is God operating in you that will show you how to get things done. 19 When you are arrested, don’t worry about how to respond or what to say. God will give you the right words at the right time. 20 For it is not you who will be speaking–it will be the Spirit of your Father speaking through you. – Matthew 10:19-20 NLT
Keep your ear to the ground so that you will sense where the spirt is leading. Be on high alert, be watching and ever ready for when God tells you to move. The time now is so incredibly critical. Just as Ester received and acted on the wisdom of her uncle Mordecai. It is such a time as this that you act andmove according to the Holy Spirit.
What if the fire you are going through was built for your benefit? What if shortcomings are ultimately designed to help to in the long-run? What if that thorn in your side was designed to keep you at the feet of the father? What if The storm was made to give you peace?
39 He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You [will].” – Matthew 26:39 NKJV
Hello family, Here we truly see that Jesus dealt with the issues of being in human form. He knows what lies ahead. He knew all that he would have to endure. Here is our savior crying out to the heavenly father to provide a way out. But nevertheless he submits to the fathers will.
We all have thought and ideas of how we want our life to go and that is good, we should make plans but also remember that God has full right to totally rearrange them. And He wont force youto do His plans. He will let you run your self out until you finally come to Him. Why run when you will end up submitting anyway?
We should live our life with a nevertheless at the end instead of a period. In every plan you make don’t put a period on it but put a nevertheless. Why because we are not the captain of our lives God is. We are simply the first officer we can chart a course but the Captain can come in and totally redirect it because there are treacherous waterers to navigate. And He has all the updated maps and charts with the proper depth measurements.

9 “For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of [those] whose heart [is] loyal to Him. In this you have done foolishly; therefore from now on you shall have wars.” – 2 Chronicles 16:9 NKJV
Hello family. Welcome to Sunday Thoughts. This wont be as deep as the devotions. This will be short thought provoking messages. This scripture shows how jealous God is for our Hearts. God is looking for ANYONE who will pursue Him relentlessly. ANYONE who will Love Him relentlessly. ANYONE who’s heart is loyal to Him and Him alone. ANYONE who will abandon themselves and chase after Him. Will YOU be the ANYONE He finds?
I gave you land you had not worked on, and I gave you towns you did not build–the towns where you are now living. I gave you vineyards and olive groves for food, though you did not plant them. “So fear the LORD and serve him wholeheartedly. Put away forever the idols your ancestors worshiped when they lived beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt. Serve the LORD alone. But if you refuse to serve the LORD, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the LORD.” – (Joshua 24:13-15 NLT)
Hello family, During our life we will see many mountain tops. We will have many victories. Often we sometimes find our self standing on a mountain top wandering what next. We feel great that we have had this awesome victory. But now all the confetti has fallen, the buzz is fading and we feel God start to move and shift our seasons.
What Next God? This question was posed to me by one of my spiritual fathers. At the time a had so much in me i could not give a sold answer. But I was not asked that question to provide him with a right or wrong answer. The question was a challenge for me to not rest on my laurels. It was a challenge meant to push me forward into perusing God for the next step.
Everyday we are given the choice to serve the gods of this world. Or serve the true and living God. Everyday we are face with a what next. And that answer can only come from God. Because each day is a new day with a different mission, another step on this journey called life and we can get pulled off by stuff that will make us feel good. Our purpose is not to feel good! But to make as big of an impact as we can with our God given talents. We will always need to know what is next. That is why many times God wont let us rest to long, He has a plan for us that he needs us to carry out. There are many more mountain tops to stand on. So continue to pursue God. Celebrate all he has done in your life but keep moving forward.
Much Love & God Bless
