Morning Coffee 6/4/18 Remember

Remember when I walked with you in the cool of the day?

Remember when you shifted your schedule, so you could stay?

What happened my child?

Why did you go away?

Hello Family

God, where are you? We all have asked this question at some point in our walk. Like a child that walked away from his parents in a busy shopping mall we stress, cry and scream “where are you?!” Believe it or not it is not God who moved, its us.

We like the child in the shopping mall are drawn away and distracted by the “candy” of this world. And when we look up from what distracted us, we don’t see God. But God was leading us, He was making the path straight for us, being a pillar of cloud by day. And a pillar of fire by night. But we took our eyes off Him and decided that this other way is quicker. So now we find our self-lost unable to get back on track, what do we do?

Revelation 2:4 Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lamp-stand from its place—unless you repent. It doesn’t have to be something dramatic and big. You could have simply stopped your late night quiet time with the Lord, you could have stopped writing a devotional series God put in your hands. It is more often the subtle things that get us furthest off track from God. God has not moved, we are the ones that moved. He is calling us back in alignment with him. God has not left you, return to those things that fertilized your relationship with him, return to your first love.

Much Love God Bless

Morning Coffee 10/3/16 Just Be Still

Read Luke 10:38-42

39 Her sister, Mary, sat at the Lord’s feet, listening to what he taught. – Luke 10:39 NLT

Hello family, sometimes when we are adjusting to a new season. We get eager and look for the nearest button to push or adjustmeant to make. But God wants us to just be filled by Him. I’m coming out of a season where i was at a constant go. But now has shifted the pace.

Our new church has morning prayer before the main service begins. I am a part of the media team. For the past three weeks i would sit at the audio desk like Spiderman waiting for my “spider senses” to tingle and point me in the direction of the issue that needed fixing. I found my self being over ready trying to do too much.

The brothers that are in charge of the audio and video encouraged me week after week to relax we are a team. You don’t have to carry the load by your self. This past Sunday my family and i arrived late, i walked through the door and everything was ok. The brother training me, motioned me over. He showed me the play list for worship and said to me “this is all you have to worry about i fixed the volume and set it all right ill be here with you. Just worry about the song order.”

I got a chance to be poured into by God during prayer and worship because i stop going hundred miles an hour. God has slowed me down and sat me at his feet to receive from Him.

We can become so used to pouring out that it seems strange when God slows us down to heal us and fill us up. When God slows your pace, don’t try to keep going at the previous speed. Slow down clear your mind and be fill up.

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee 6/20/16 Stick Your Feet In The Grass

8 When the cool evening breezes were blowing, the man and his wife heard the LORD God walking about in the garden. So they hid from the LORD God among the trees. – Genesis 3:8 NLT

Hello family, there is one thing i do every day, either in the morning or late afternoon or evening, i go outside and look at my surroundings. I don’t say a single word, my mind is focused on the environment around me. I don’t ask God for anything, i don’t bring any stress or worry from the day with me. I sit or stand in silence.

God will surround me and soon i am lost in him. Adam and Eve had this 24/7 but lost it. Christ bought it back to us. Nothing wrong with quiet time in your house. but there is something about encountering God in the elements he created. It is the best kind of therapy. When you come back to the issue it is not as big as it once was. That is because your perspective changes. Your mind is no longer focused on fixing an issue. But on the Creator, our heavenly father.

This evening or the next morning get up go outside find a quiet spot and sit there and don’t say or think about anything but God’s creation. I promise you will feel so awesome!

6 Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the LORD our maker, 7 for he is our God. We are the people he watches over, the flock under his care. If only you would listen to his voice today! – Psalm 95:6-7 NLT

Hello family, While I was on vacation, unplugged from the world I heard God louder and clearer than I ever heard him. One morning I was up at the breakfast buffet waiting for my mom and dad to arrive. God said to me “Why can’t you do this when you get back home? Why not keep getting up at sunrise with a cup of coffee or juice and talk with me?” I told God I would continue to this.

However sadly since I’ve been back from the cruise I have not resumed what was started. And every day God reminds me gently. Worship, prayer, fasting, and studying His word are all linked together. It all works together in our life you cannot have one without the other. Otherwise you will find your self running empty.

My vacation was a fast, it unplugged me from Facebook, games, tv, work, etc. so my mind was open more to Gods voice. Times of worship in song bought me into focus with Him. From there he would lead me to the scripture He wanted me to read. It all links together! We need the daily prayer time where we talk with God and LISTEN to Him. We need time of worship in song (not just on Sunday) to keep our focus on Him. And we need time when we unplug from the things of this world to reset and calibrate our life back inline with God. It all works together!

I will resume my sunrise time with God

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee 5/19/16 Coming Down From The Mountain Top

the new mc banner

Read Matthew 4:1-11

35 Before daybreak the next morning, Jesus got up and went out to an isolated place to pray. 36 Later Simon and the others went out to find him. 37 When they found him, they said, “Everyone is looking for you.” 38 But Jesus replied, “We must go on to other towns as well, and I will preach to them, too. That is why I came.” – Mark 1:35-38 NLT

Hello family, It has been a while but the time away was needed. The past two weeks have been something else. First I had a bad stomach virus that faded just in time for our family cruise thank God. Then on the cruise God bought me to His Mountain, each morning as i looked out at the sun rising over the sea, he spoke to me like never before instructing me on things i need to do when vacation was over. My focus is clear and i am refreshed but that does not mean attack did not come.

After Jesus fasted forty days He was tempted by satan. He was ready for every attack. I came down form my mountain top not expecting any challenges. God said to me “go do what I’ve told you to do, don’t stop! I have equipped you with all you need.” When Jesus got up early He was preparing him self for the days ministry.

Too often God will send us on a retreat and while we are there we are all fired up. But when we come down and the emotions fade and challenges come we back down and look up at God wondering why. When He has fully equipped us to continue with the same fire we had on the mountain top. Look at what Moses did when he came down. He didn’t hide in a corner no he did as God told him to do to Get Israel back in line.

There will be challenges when you come down from the mountain top. don’t back down in fear! But push forward!

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee 3/24/16 Old Habits Die Hard

the new mc banner

Read 1 Corinthians 9:25-27

27 I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified. – 1 Corinthians 9:27 NLT

Hello family, As we grow in our walk with Christ we will experience growing pains. There will be some junk in out life that comes out easy but others that go kicking and screaming. And they may even try and creep back in.

That is why we discipline our selves to the word of God. Old habits die hard! Killing this sinful nature is a process. A process in which God uses our mess ups to show out the areas where we are weak at. He does this not to poke fun but to motivate us strengthen theses areas.

God will give us the strength, the holy Spirit will give us the action to take but we have to act on it! Unlike the training of the athletes that ends when they end there careers. Our training will continue as long as we are drawing breath. Each day we are growing stronger and closer to God. Only when He calls us home will our training be done.

Don’t grow weary keep running keep digging, keep walking in the footprints of christ. this road ain’t easy but it’s worth it!

Morning Coffee 3/18/16 Find Your Hook

the new mc banner

Read Psalm 146

2 While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being. – Psalm 146:2 KJV

Hello family, Ever have a day or week, when you feel like you are just barley making it. You feel distant from God as if he is a million miles away? Go find your hook! Find that one worship or praise song that god uses to draw you right back to His presence. In my case i have a few songs.

Worshiping the Lord through music creates an express lane to his throne. Worship through music opens our mind and spirt to hear from God. At that point God can com in and minister to us. Before you they any thing else to lift you out of that fog. Try worship. King David found his hook so much that his writing make up a good portion of the book of Psalms. It shows He was never far from lifting up worship & praise to God. Find Your Hook!

16 “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. 17 God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him. – John 3:16-17 NLT

Hello family, God thought you were worth saving. It does not matter what you past history is. It does not matter what you did last night. God loves you and has placed the highest value on you.  Only he can pay that price. You may not see your self as valuable because of things that have taken place in your life.

Not so! says God that is why He sent his only son to be sacrificed on the cross and to rise up again three days later with all power. God want relationship with you! He wants pick you up out of your mess and set you feet on solid ground. He did it for me!

Morning Coffee 3/11/16 Product Of Your Environment pt2

the new mc banner

Read Romans 12:1-2

2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. – Romans 12:2 NLT

Hello family, Some bad habits we acquired are from the environment that was around us. God told me to shift my late night environment. He needed me to change up my routine. When I did the results were immediately felt. I am still in an environment shift, a shift toward a more peaceful environment an environment of clarity.

We can have great Godly people around us. And our music be approve by God for us to listen to. But is our routine helping us draw closer to God? Is it cultivating and environment where God can flow?  I hear and feel God the most at night 10:00pm-1:00am That is when God really pulls on me to spend time with Him. Writing was getting in the way of that personal time. So God had me move my written time to the afternoon. So my late nights are free for Him to come in and speak to me.

If you best time with God is at 7 am don’t clog it with other stuff. That time is holy ground. Nothing fills in that space of time. It is reserved For God. Your routine helps create your environment. Ask God where adjustments need to be made and watch things shift for the better.

Morning Coffee 3/4/16 Your Place Of Worship Pt 2

the new mc banner

Read Exodus 3

5 “Do not come any closer,” the LORD warned. “Take off your sandals, for you are standing on holy ground. – Exodus 3:5 NLT

Hello family, Your place of worship you sanctuary is more than a place where you sing and dance to God. It is a place where nothing is hidden, every thing within you is laid open for God. That is why Moses bowed before God. Taking off the sandals was a sign of reverence.

In your place of worship God will show you the things within you that you never knew about your self. God will show you the things that must be removed or worked on. Your place of worship is where you converse with God. You speak but you also listen to what He is speaking. He will download things you need for the next day or week ahead.

We get the next instructions God has for us, so we can move forward in life spiritually and physically. He will call you like Moses to that unique place. For Moses it was a burning bush for you it may be the shower. Where ever that place or moment of sanctuary is go get it, God is calling.

Much Love & God Bless
