Morning Coffee 9/25/17 Two Heartbeats

Hello family, I want you to take a minute to find your pulse or put you hand on you chest and find your heartbeat. Do you feel it, is your heartbeat fast or is it slow? We can get  basic info about how we are doing just by simply feeling our pulse or heartbeat.

There are two heartbeats we should be constantly monitoring. The first is the heartbeat of God. As a matter of fact we should be directly plugged in to the cadence of His heart, so we can identify when, where and how God is moving. The second heartbeat is the heart beat of this world. We don’t connect with it like we do with the heart of God, we simply monitor the vital signs.

“But the world is against God, why monitor its heartbeat?” So you can know how to minister to the environment around you. If God places people in your path and you don’t take time to see them with God’s eyes. We won’t minister to them at all or we will minister to them in the wrong way. And they will be worse off than before. But when we are linked up and in sync with God’s heart beat and we are monitoring the heartbeat of this world we can truly be effective in our area of influence.

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee 9/10/17 I Don’t Understand It (But I Will Obey) 2.0

4 And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here [am] I. – Exodus 3:4 KJV

“God is presenting “burning bushes” to those He has chosen and they have to answer.”

Hello family, God bought me back to and old morning coffee devotion i wrote on 11/22/16 titled

“I Don’t Understand It (But I Will Obey)” I don’t fully understand the current season I am in. I expected it to go one way, but God directed it a totally different way. On an afternoon walk I vented to God about how I00 thought things should be right now and asking him what does he want me to do in this season.

He said to me “I am your provider, not some job! I am your source, have I ever lead you wrong? Take care of the things i have placed before you and will place before you. Do not neglect them, I have placed theses things in your care. When I want you to do something I will let you know!”

Keep your ear to the ground so that you will sense where the spirt is leading. Be on high alert, be watching and ever ready for when God tells you to move. The time now is so incredibly critical. Just as Ester received and acted on the wisdom of her uncle Mordecai. It is such a time as this that you act and  move according to the Holy Spirit. Make your shelter in the name of the Most High! Abide under His wings, there you will find an abundance of all that you need!

Much Love & God Bless

Sunday Thoughts 7/30/17

Hello family!

Since I last wrote to you all God has pulled me into a season of spiritual and emotional growth. This season is far from over, to be honest I am not rushing it. In this season i God has connected me with people and He is showing me the impact that He has allowed me to have on there lives. I have formed a special bond with one brother in particular. We have very similar life history and God has used that to only strengthen our growing bond. during one of our nightly phone conversations he said some things that bought me to my knees and humbled me. “I look up to you, I see not only as a friend but a mentor. I see you like a pastor.

I don’t like titles nor do i want one, his words cut straight to my core and bought me to a state of thankfulness. I have not meet this fellow bother face to face yet our communication is via phone calls, text or internet and he is in a different state than i am. i write this with tears in my eyes because it humbles me and blows my mind that God would choose me to have such an impact on someones life.

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee 6/29/17 Unconditional Love? PT1

Hello Family

I read an email from a blog site i follow. someone posted the question does God love everyone unconditionally? Now I’m sure you may have responded to the question with an instant preloaded “yes!” But lets not get ahead of ourselves. Grab a cup of Coffee and lets see what the Holy Spirit will reveal to us.

First what is love? What are its characteristics? For that we will head to 1 Corinthians 13. This scripture maybe super familiar but as we know God’s word is alive and active so please lets look at this with a clean slate without any of our presumptions. “Love is patient and kind.” Parents, you may have a child that has gone astray and they are not living up to the great potential that you se within them. let me ask you how long will will you pray for them to come home? How long will your heart hope for their turn around? There isn’t and end date to to that answer especially for the mothers. Your verbal prayers may grow less frequent but deep within your hearth chambers your heart will still cry out to God for that child’s safe return even if you are on your death bed.

It is the same with God, except her is eternal and all knowing. Can you imagine knowing all the things your child would do both good and bad in there life long before they were born and you still demonstrated  your love to them even if you knew they would reject you? That is Love! Love is kind. Its easy to bring a friend of family into your home for a meal but what about a total stranger that is rather dirty will you have the kindness to let them in and clean them up? God did that for us, that is apart of Love!

(to be continued)

Morning Coffee 4/10/17 Ask Not What Your God Can Do For You! But Ask What You Can Do For Your God!

READ ROMANS  12:1-2

1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service. – Romans 12:1 KJV

Hello family, Ask Not What Your God Can Do For You! But Ask  What You Can Do For Your God! Let’s be honest with our selves, we ask God for a lot! Majority of it is for self benefit. As this year has progressed God has been shifting my mindset from “God do for me!” to “God what can i do for you!” It’s not that i don’t ask Him for things for myself. It’s me coming into my personal time with God. With the mindset of a soldier reporting for duty, ready to execute His will.

We are in a time where we cannot get comfortable. we really should be doing the opposite. we should be prepared and expecting to be placed out of our comfort zone. I never met a soldier that fought with fuzzy bunny slippers on with a remote in there hand with a jumbo bag of popcorn. When God calls report for duty!

Ask Not What Your God Can Do For You! But Ask  What You Can Do For Your God!

Much Love & God Bless

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” – Jeremiah 29:11 NLT

14 Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. – 2 Chronicles 7:14 NLT

Hello family these two scriptures have been stirring around in my mind during the week. These scriptures are two puzzle pieces that fit together. as a matter of fact they need each other. 2 Chronicles 7:14 representing Us yielding our self to the will of God and Jeremiah 29:11 representing the rewards of our obedience to God’s will. You can have one without the other.

Yes, God does have awesome plans for us. But it requires us to line up in obedience to God.

Morning Coffee 3/27/17 More of Him And Less Of Your Opinions

READ JOHN 3:22-31

30 He must become greater and greater, and I must become less and less. – John 3:30 NLT

Hello family, One thing John the Baptist understood from the day one of his ministry is that he was an open vessel for God to use. John understood that he needed to have himself and all His opinions out of they way so the untainted word of God could flow through him.

Opinions, reservations, prejudices, attitudes we develop from this world must not just be put aside but must be extinguished. Don’t believe me see  2 corinthians 10:5. all too often God has a message to be delivered and he decides to use you as the vessel to deliver it. We receive the message but we look it and try to fix it because it wont bring more followers to our blog or its gonna hurt my best friend feelings or people will move on to another church and stop coming to mine!

Here is a reality check! WHEN IT COMES TO DELIVERING THE MESSAGE HE GAVE YOU, GOD DOESN’T CARE TO HAVE YOU INSERTING YOUR FEELINGS, OPINIONS!  All He wants is for you to daily practice yielding yourself to His will so His work will be accomplished.

Much Love & God Bless

What you want you will find! Ill say it again what you want you will find. We will move heaven and earth to get to tv to see the football game on time. We leave our phone on our lap in the middle of the minister bringing the message so we don’t miss that notification from Facebook. #guilty We will feel God tug on our hearts to walk outside and spend some QUALITY TIME  with Him but we will tell him I’m busy not right now and then go and the most unproductive thing to do.

From the very beginning from Adam till to this very day All God wants is to have intimate quality time with you His creation. the questions will you be available

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee 2/20/17 Whats Next?

I gave you land you had not worked on, and I gave you towns you did not build–the towns where you are now living. I gave you vineyards and olive groves for food, though you did not plant them. “So fear the LORD and serve him wholeheartedly. Put away forever the idols your ancestors worshiped when they lived beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt. Serve the LORD alone. But if you refuse to serve the LORD, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the LORD.” – (Joshua 24:13-15 NLT)

Hello family, During our life we will see many mountain tops. We will have many victories. Often we sometimes find our self standing on a mountain top wandering what next. We feel great that we have had this awesome victory. But now all the confetti has fallen, the buzz is fading and we feel God start to move and shift our seasons.

What Next God? This question was posed to me by one of my spiritual fathers. At the time a had so much in me i could not give a sold answer. But I was not asked that question to provide him with a right or wrong answer. The question was a challenge for me to not rest on my laurels. It was a challenge meant to push me forward into perusing God for the next step.

Everyday we are given the choice to serve the gods of this world. Or serve the true and living God. Everyday we are face with a what next. And that answer can only come from God. Because each day is a new day with a different mission, another step on this journey called life and we can get pulled off by stuff that will make us feel good. Our purpose is not to feel good! But to make as big of an impact as we can with our God given talents. We will always need to know what is next. That is why many times God wont let us rest to long, He has a plan for us that he needs us to carry out. There are many more mountain tops to stand on. So continue to pursue God. Celebrate all he has done in your life but keep moving forward.

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee Devotions: Poking At Their Problems Pt1 2/1/17

Read John 4:1-18

7 Soon a Samaritan woman came to draw water, and Jesus said to her, “Please give me a drink.” 8 He was alone at the time because his disciples had gone into the village to buy some food. 9 The woman was surprised, for Jews refuse to have anything to do with Samaritans. She said to Jesus, “You are a Jew, and I am a Samaritan woman. Why are you asking me for a drink?” – (John 4:7-9 NLT)

Hello family,  Over the past few years and even beyond that. The Church (body of Christ) in general has been In a frame of mind where we are quick to see and poke at the issues of the world and stand up and point the finger at every thing that is wrong and fold its arms like a disappointed adult.

Yes, we are to make disciples of all nations and lead the Lost to Christ. But how can the lost come if all they are greeted with is a bunch of finger pointing and being told how bad off they are. Tell me something, would you hang around someone who made it their number one priority to poke at and highlight every thing that you are doing wrong? No, you would not.

I have a christian group for fans of the cartoon My little Pony. One of the member is not a believer. She made this statement to me. “Im glad I found this group I really have true friends here all of you have shown me what GOOD christians are like.” In the time that she has been apart of the group i have seen her respond positively to my inspirational post. She has even come to me for prayer. She even sent me this message one evening when i had a bad headache. “I pray your God Heals you.” Wow! When she first joined she was very defensive but God is working on her heart drawing her closer. All I have done is shared my life with her and God stared the rest.

Yes, I see the issues in her life, but God did not tell me to point that out. he told me to welcome her with open arms and to encourage her and show her the love of Christ. You see with the woman at the well Christ started with her physical need but was aiming for Her spiritual need. He didn’t come out the gate with a bunch of accusations and finger pointing. He turned a normal conversation right around and spoke to the heart of the woman Christ spoke to the root of her issues, not the symptoms.

Yes, this world has issues but if we look with God’s eyes only then can God use us to tend to the root of the issues. We will get no where poking at the worlds issues. Poking at the problems will not show the world why they need Christ

Much Love & God Bless
