39 He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You [will].” – Matthew 26:39 NKJV
Hello family, Here we truly see that Jesus dealt with the issues of being in human form. He knows what lies ahead. He knew all that he would have to endure. Here is our savior crying out to the heavenly father to provide a way out. But nevertheless he submits to the fathers will.
We all have thought and ideas of how we want our life to go and that is good, we should make plans but also remember that God has full right to totally rearrange them. And He wont force youto do His plans. He will let you run your self out until you finally come to Him. Why run when you will end up submitting anyway?
We should live our life with a nevertheless at the end instead of a period. In every plan you make don’t put a period on it but put a nevertheless. Why because we are not the captain of our lives God is. We are simply the first officer we can chart a course but the Captain can come in and totally redirect it because there are treacherous waterers to navigate. And He has all the updated maps and charts with the proper depth measurements.

I gave you land you had not worked on, and I gave you towns you did not build–the towns where you are now living. I gave you vineyards and olive groves for food, though you did not plant them. “So fear the LORD and serve him wholeheartedly. Put away forever the idols your ancestors worshiped when they lived beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt. Serve the LORD alone. But if you refuse to serve the LORD, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the LORD.” – (Joshua 24:13-15 NLT)
Hello family, During our life we will see many mountain tops. We will have many victories. Often we sometimes find our self standing on a mountain top wandering what next. We feel great that we have had this awesome victory. But now all the confetti has fallen, the buzz is fading and we feel God start to move and shift our seasons.
What Next God? This question was posed to me by one of my spiritual fathers. At the time a had so much in me i could not give a sold answer. But I was not asked that question to provide him with a right or wrong answer. The question was a challenge for me to not rest on my laurels. It was a challenge meant to push me forward into perusing God for the next step.
Everyday we are given the choice to serve the gods of this world. Or serve the true and living God. Everyday we are face with a what next. And that answer can only come from God. Because each day is a new day with a different mission, another step on this journey called life and we can get pulled off by stuff that will make us feel good. Our purpose is not to feel good! But to make as big of an impact as we can with our God given talents. We will always need to know what is next. That is why many times God wont let us rest to long, He has a plan for us that he needs us to carry out. There are many more mountain tops to stand on. So continue to pursue God. Celebrate all he has done in your life but keep moving forward.
Much Love & God Bless

17 He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you. – John 14:17 NLT
11 And the people of Berea were more open-minded than those in Thessalonica, and they listened eagerly to Paul’s message. They searched the Scriptures day after day to see if Paul and Silas were teaching the truth. – Acts 17:11 NLT
Hello family, when we study God’s word, when we research a message we heard, we will need God’s word. but also we will need to hear his holy spirit. You see even before the speaker finishes the message. The holy spirit will give you warning signs. he may even urge you to research the person you are listening to.
When studying the scriptures pray and ask the holy spirit to reveal what you are reading. Don’t go in haphazardly. Read and study with purpose and intent, letting the holy spirit lead you to truth. We can’t be a bible scholar and not open our ear to the voice of the holy spirit. And we can’t be all super spiritual ether we need balance of both in our lives. They compliment one another. So seek God in your quiet time but also be ready to open you bible.
5 In the same way, you younger men must accept the authority of the elders. And all of you, serve each other in humility, for “God opposes the proud but favors the humble.” – 1 Peter 5:5 NLT
Hello family, In todays world It is the young vs the old. Some youth are ambitious and are eager to get there plans moving. And they don’t want to hear the wisdom from their elders. On the others side the some elders want nothing to do with the youth they don’t want to hear anything new that the youth have to share.
This is not how it should be! Youth! God sees your ambitions and knows you are ready to take on the world. But hear the wisdom of those who have gone before you. They may keep you from making a mistake that can be costly, you do not know it all. So submit to those over you.
Elders! God has placed these ambitious youth under you for a reason. Do not crush the fire theyhave by not allowing them room to grow the gifts that God has given them. How will a harvest be reaped if new seed is not planted? You are there to nurture that seed until God moves it from
Youth and Elders! Work together to accomplish the mission God gave you! “A house divided will not stand!” You need each other!
6 Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the LORD our maker, 7 for he is our God. We are the people he watches over, the flock under his care. If only you would listen to his voice today! – Psalm 95:6-7 NLT
Hello family, While I was on vacation, unplugged from the world I heard God louder and clearer than I ever heard him. One morning I was up at the breakfast buffet waiting for my mom and dad to arrive. God said to me “Why can’t you do this when you get back home? Why not keep getting up at sunrise with a cup of coffee or juice and talk with me?” I told God I would continue to this.
However sadly since I’ve been back from the cruise I have not resumed what was started. And every day God reminds me gently. Worship, prayer, fasting, and studying His word are all linked together. It all works together in our life you cannot have one without the other. Otherwise you will find your self running empty.
My vacation was a fast, it unplugged me from Facebook, games, tv, work, etc. so my mind was open more to Gods voice. Times of worship in song bought me into focus with Him. From there he would lead me to the scripture He wanted me to read. It all links together! We need the daily prayer time where we talk with God and LISTEN to Him. We need time of worship in song (not just on Sunday) to keep our focus on Him. And we need time when we unplug from the things of this world to reset and calibrate our life back inline with God. It all works together!
35 Before daybreak the next morning, Jesus got up and went out to an isolated place to pray. 36 Later Simon and the others went out to find him. 37 When they found him, they said, “Everyone is looking for you.” 38 But Jesus replied, “We must go on to other towns as well, and I will preach to them, too. That is why I came.” – Mark 1:35-38 NLT
Hello family, It has been a while but the time away was needed. The past two weeks have been something else. First I had a bad stomach virus that faded just in time for our family cruise thank God. Then on the cruise God bought me to His Mountain, each morning as i looked out at the sun rising over the sea, he spoke to me like never before instructing me on things i need to do when vacation was over. My focus is clear and i am refreshed but that does not mean attack did not come.
After Jesus fasted forty days He was tempted by satan. He was ready for every attack. I came down form my mountain top not expecting any challenges. God said to me “go do what I’ve told you to do, don’t stop! I have equipped you with all you need.” When Jesus got up early He was preparing him self for the days ministry.
Too often God will send us on a retreat and while we are there we are all fired up. But when we come down and the emotions fade and challenges come we back down and look up at God wondering why. When He has fully equipped us to continue with the same fire we had on the mountain top. Look at what Moses did when he came down. He didn’t hide in a corner no he did as God told him to do to Get Israel back in line.
There will be challenges when you come down from the mountain top. don’t back down in fear! But push forward!
4 He fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul! Saul! Why are you persecuting me?” 5 “Who are you, lord?” Saul asked. And the voice replied, “I am Jesus, the one you are persecuting! – Acts 9:4-5 NLT
Hello family, reality checks often abruptly interrupt our life leaving us feeling like the rug has been jerked from under our feet and more often than not, the reality check hurts. They may hurt but they are necessary.
Saul (soon to be Paul) thought he was doing God’s will, He thought inline with what God wanted him to do. Saul had so much conviction in eliminating all followers of Christ that Christ himself spoke directly and exclusively to Him. Saul’s encounter left him temporary blinded. I bet you he learned a few things in that time with out his sight.
Reality checks come with black or white choices (in some cases only one choice). There is no middle ground. You do what God is telling you to do or reap the consequences. And the consequences are life altering often affecting more than just you. The same is true for the benefits of taking heed to God’s reality check. Just look at the effect it had with Paul.
When we are obedient to the reality checks God sends our way, the person has an identity shift (see Gen 35:1-10) from that point on they no longer identify with their former self. God has placed them on a completely different path totally opposite of the one they were on.
Abandon what you used to do. This change in you life is critical more than you know! Don’t wait for a second chance more than likely there won’t be one, this is you opportunity take it by the horns!
2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. – Romans 12:2 NLT
Hello family, “Birds of a feather flock together, you are a product of your environment!” These sayings are very true. The people you surround your self with, the music you listen to, the TV shows you watch. It all is absorbed and affects us.
My Pastor and i are very close, we are like brothers (we are brothers.) We have hung out a lot. One day my mother and i were having a conversation and i made a statement (i don’t remember what it was) she stopped me and said pastor is rubbing off on you. I spent so much time with my brother-pastor that i picked up some of his characteristics (good ones). “Hello family” is not my own i got that from him.
Just as i picked up some my brother-pastors characteristics. We will pick up characteristics of God from spending time with Him. If you want to know how to have a good marriage, don’t surround your self with singles, and the divorced. No, surround you self with couples that have marriages that are standing the test of time and take notes.
God told you to let go of those old friends, let them go! They will drag you back down! Don’t think “I’m gonna lead them to christ!” No! God told you to move on from them so move on! Pray for them but don’t hang out with them. God told you change the music you listen, to do it! Don’t let that old school jam cause you to get in a jam! God will give new uplifting God approvedmusic to listen to. He will give you new Godly friends, brothers and sisters that will build you up and not tear you down! You are a product of your environment! What is affecting you in your environment?
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. – Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV
Hello family, my family and I were watching a show called air disasters. The show was covering the crash of a Russian passenger plain in 1994. This was a crash that was preventable. Long story short the pilot had allowed his son to sit in his seat, while the son was in his seat the pilot disabled the auto pilot for a few seconds to allow the son to turn the control stick then re engaged the autopilot.
But when the auto pilot re engaged, the son was still turning the control stick so the things did not go back to normal they panicked in the process they lost control of the plane and crashed. The pilotstried all they knew to do to regain control of the plan fighting it to the end. The Investigators linked upthe clues as to why this crash happened.
Although the autopilot was turned back on it did not have full control of all the systems, that system was the system that controlled the turning of the plane that system was still in control of the boy when things went bad. All the pilots had to do to correct every thing was let go of the control stick and let the autopilot take full control and level the plane.
Sadly we do the same in our own lives. God will have everything running nice then we decide we want to have a little fun and take control when we should not. When we realize the danger we do give control back to God (autopilot) but not full control we keep our hand on the controls fighting what God is trying to fix. He won’t force us to give Him full control, He will take what we give Him although He wants it all. And what we try to do fails or it is not as successful as it could have been.
Just let go!!!! God understands you messed up and you want it to be fixed. Well, let Him fix it! Stop trying to help Him, God don’t need your help you are the one in need of help! God will fix it we just have to let Go and go back to being a passenger.
8 Saul picked himself up off the ground, but when he opened his eyes he was blind. So his companions led him by the hand to Damascus. 9 He remained there blind for three days and did not eat or drink. – Acts 9:8-9 NLT
Hello family, When God is moving us from one stage of our life to the next, He may put us in a holding pattern. There are some things that he needs to pull out of us so we can step into the next season ready to take full advantage of it.
Has God given you a vision? (he has one for all of us). He has shown you your purpose or promised you something. And you say “ok Lord hit me with it!” But instead of dropping that purpose or promise right in your lap, God goes “Mr.Han” on you and tell you to take you jacket on then off.
Im sure it was not very fun for the karate kid to put a jacket on and then off when he was expecting to become a trained martial artist. And I’m sure it was not fun for Saul (soon to be Paul) be blind and not eat or drink for three days. But that just it! The process it not designed for our entertainment or enjoyment. The process is meant for our progress, for our humbling, for our strengthening. God had to temporally take Saul’s sight so he could see where he truly stood. God had to break Saul’s earthly greatness to show him what true greatness is.
It is only after we have gone through the process we see the need for the process. If Mr Han had put Dre in a completion on day one the boy would have been whipped. The same with us, if God dropped our promise or purpose in our laps on day one we would self-destruct. The process is not for our entertainment, the process is for our progress.
