Sunday Thoughts 7/30/17

st

Hello family!

Since I last wrote to you all God has pulled me into a season of spiritual and emotional growth. This season is far from over, to be honest I am not rushing it. In this season i God has connected me with people and He is showing me the impact that He has allowed me to have on there lives. I have formed a special bond with one brother in particular. We have very similar life history and God has used that to only strengthen our growing bond. during one of our nightly phone conversations he said some things that bought me to my knees and humbled me. “I look up to you, I see not only as a friend but a mentor. I see you like a pastor.

I don’t like titles nor do i want one, his words cut straight to my core and bought me to a state of thankfulness. I have not meet this fellow bother face to face yet our communication is via phone calls, text or internet and he is in a different state than i am. i write this with tears in my eyes because it humbles me and blows my mind that God would choose me to have such an impact on someones life.

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee 6/29/17 Unconditional Love? PT1

Hello Family

I read an email from a blog site i follow. someone posted the question does God love everyone unconditionally? Now I’m sure you may have responded to the question with an instant preloaded “yes!” But lets not get ahead of ourselves. Grab a cup of Coffee and lets see what the Holy Spirit will reveal to us.

First what is love? What are its characteristics? For that we will head to 1 Corinthians 13. This scripture maybe super familiar but as we know God’s word is alive and active so please lets look at this with a clean slate without any of our presumptions. “Love is patient and kind.” Parents, you may have a child that has gone astray and they are not living up to the great potential that you se within them. let me ask you how long will will you pray for them to come home? How long will your heart hope for their turn around? There isn’t and end date to to that answer especially for the mothers. Your verbal prayers may grow less frequent but deep within your hearth chambers your heart will still cry out to God for that child’s safe return even if you are on your death bed.

It is the same with God, except her is eternal and all knowing. Can you imagine knowing all the things your child would do both good and bad in there life long before they were born and you still demonstrated  your love to them even if you knew they would reject you? That is Love! Love is kind. Its easy to bring a friend of family into your home for a meal but what about a total stranger that is rather dirty will you have the kindness to let them in and clean them up? God did that for us, that is apart of Love!

(to be continued)

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee 4/10/17 Ask Not What Your God Can Do For You! But Ask What You Can Do For Your God!

READ ROMANS  12:1-2

1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service. – Romans 12:1 KJV

Hello family, Ask Not What Your God Can Do For You! But Ask  What You Can Do For Your God! Let’s be honest with our selves, we ask God for a lot! Majority of it is for self benefit. As this year has progressed God has been shifting my mindset from “God do for me!” to “God what can i do for you!” It’s not that i don’t ask Him for things for myself. It’s me coming into my personal time with God. With the mindset of a soldier reporting for duty, ready to execute His will.

We are in a time where we cannot get comfortable. we really should be doing the opposite. we should be prepared and expecting to be placed out of our comfort zone. I never met a soldier that fought with fuzzy bunny slippers on with a remote in there hand with a jumbo bag of popcorn. When God calls report for duty!

Ask Not What Your God Can Do For You! But Ask  What You Can Do For Your God!

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee 2/20/17 Whats Next?

I gave you land you had not worked on, and I gave you towns you did not build–the towns where you are now living. I gave you vineyards and olive groves for food, though you did not plant them. “So fear the LORD and serve him wholeheartedly. Put away forever the idols your ancestors worshiped when they lived beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt. Serve the LORD alone. But if you refuse to serve the LORD, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the LORD.” – (Joshua 24:13-15 NLT)

Hello family, During our life we will see many mountain tops. We will have many victories. Often we sometimes find our self standing on a mountain top wandering what next. We feel great that we have had this awesome victory. But now all the confetti has fallen, the buzz is fading and we feel God start to move and shift our seasons.

What Next God? This question was posed to me by one of my spiritual fathers. At the time a had so much in me i could not give a sold answer. But I was not asked that question to provide him with a right or wrong answer. The question was a challenge for me to not rest on my laurels. It was a challenge meant to push me forward into perusing God for the next step.

Everyday we are given the choice to serve the gods of this world. Or serve the true and living God. Everyday we are face with a what next. And that answer can only come from God. Because each day is a new day with a different mission, another step on this journey called life and we can get pulled off by stuff that will make us feel good. Our purpose is not to feel good! But to make as big of an impact as we can with our God given talents. We will always need to know what is next. That is why many times God wont let us rest to long, He has a plan for us that he needs us to carry out. There are many more mountain tops to stand on. So continue to pursue God. Celebrate all he has done in your life but keep moving forward.

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee 10/26/16 Give Your Eyes

Read Matthew 9:35-38

36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. 37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly [is] plenteous, but the labourers [are] few; – Matthew 9:36-37 KJV

Hello family, I am writing to you with hurting heart. I met a young man in a My little pony fan artist group I’m in on social media. We struck up conversation and exchanged art work. one of my works that i shared was christian themed. He replied “you’er a christian?” I said yes. There was a long pause before his next message. He replied “I used to be a christian but not any more.”

At that moment my heart began to ache. i asked what happened he replied “I fell in love with a guy.” The ache in my heart grew. Our conversation continued. Before he signed off he said, “I know what the bible says about homosexuality i know its wrong but I’m in love with this guy. It’s too late for me.” I replied its not too late as long as you are breathing it is not to late!

God had out paths cross for a reason God, had me join this fan club for a purposes much deeper than the sharing enjoyment of a carton with others. Since i have been in this group i have stared a christian version of the group and it is steadily growing as God sees fit.

God has destined us to met certain people, He wants to use us too draw the people to Him. But if we are not seeing this world if we are not seeing the people around us with God’s eyes we will miss the opportunity to be used by God. Ask God to give you His eye so you can see every broken heart.

Please ply the song in the link below

Morning Coffee 9/22/16 Run Even Harder

12 Dear friends, you always followed my instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away, it is even more important. Work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear. 13 For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him. – Philippians 2:12-13 NLT

Hello family, Paul is encouraging the Philippines to keep pursuing God, if anything pursue him all the more! Don’t let up and relax. No! Keep applying what was taught to you! As you seek God he will strengthen you to do what pleases Him. And you will Grow stronger in your faith in God.

Keep putting to practice what God has taught you. The more we are in God, the deeper we go, and the more sensitive we become to his will. Just because the teacher gave you a passing grade does not mean you ease up. Go! Move to the next step and continue to apply the other steps you learned before.

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee 9/21/16 I Am Glad For The Desperation!

28 Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. – Matthew 11:28 KJV

Hello family, where i live at we have been in a minor drought. On Sunday we got the rain we needed. As the worship was going on, I caught a glimpse of out side. As  i focused my attention out the window i saw that it was raining. The Holy Spirt asked me “What does the rain do to the road surface when it first starts raining?” It brings up all the dirt and oils out and washes them off.

Sunday God let it rain not just in the physical but in the spiritual. Junk that had accumulated over time was washed away and there was a clean slate. I am fresh and renewed. I am grateful for God allowing me to get to a point of desperation. Now i can truly appreciate his healing rain.

He did not leave me to dry up! He let me get to a place where i had no other choice but to look up! I am standing here only because he made away. He released the pressure, he eliminated things that got me off focus! He bought in the monsoon rains to water my heart. I see clearer now I hear him louder. When you are without something that you need. You embrace it when you get it back.

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee 9/15/16 Untitiled

Hello family, Over the past few month i have gotten inconsistent with posting morning coffee devotions and that is 100% my fault. Procrastination has been my biggest enemy. And God is  correcting me. God laid out a road map for me and Morning coffee. He’s been knocking on my heart saying, “Why are you not writing? Here is what i want you to write.” i would put it off and say ill do it later. Well, later is here.

Sometimes we (myself included) really don’t see the importance of the gifts and ministries God gives us. I know i haven’t been looking with God’s eyes. I’ve kept on the rose tinted glasses of my flesh. And i am so wrong for that. Ive been seeing the likes on older devotions some of you have made on the word press blog. God showed me that This ministry is still valid. God established it and only he can take it down.

I apologize to you my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ for going MIA and abandon my post. I will not stop writing, i can’t God won’t let me! I will be here and where ever He needs me. Because this ministry no matter how small matters. lets see this world with Gods eyes

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee 8/5/16 Back Where I belong

Read 1Samuel 16

12 So Jesse sent for him. He was dark and handsome, with beautiful eyes. And the LORD said, “This is the one; anoint him.” – 1 Samuel 16:12 NLT

Hello family, It has been a while since I last wrote to you. In that time away God showed me that this is where i belong. I belong here  with worship music playing in the background multiple translations of the bible open with a cup of coffee at my side. I am anointed to write and pour out what God has given me to share.

David was anointed king long before Samuel poured oil over his head. God placed it with in David’s DNA(see Psalm 139). When God anoints you to do something or to be someone it will show and God will use that anointing that He placed in you. We may stray and get side tracked but eventually we will find our self drawn back to the path God call us to (see Prov 22:6)

I feel so complete right now as i am writing this to you. And even if just one you reads this devotion my mission is a success. 10 “The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry. 11 It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it. – Isaiah 55:10-11 NLT

Even King Saul before his downfall fulfilled what God destined him to be. Saul’s reign was tarnished by his pride and jealousy. But he remained on the throne until God removed him. David did have mess ups but he always turned back to God. Your mistakes. It may slow or shorten the time of what God anointed you to do. We can change that by simply Keeping God at the center of our lives.

Family I am back where i belong! I am walking in one of the things God has called me to do! I find my greatest fulfillment when i do God’s will for my life.

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee 6/20/16 Stick Your Feet In The Grass

8 When the cool evening breezes were blowing, the man and his wife heard the LORD God walking about in the garden. So they hid from the LORD God among the trees. – Genesis 3:8 NLT

Hello family, there is one thing i do every day, either in the morning or late afternoon or evening, i go outside and look at my surroundings. I don’t say a single word, my mind is focused on the environment around me. I don’t ask God for anything, i don’t bring any stress or worry from the day with me. I sit or stand in silence.

God will surround me and soon i am lost in him. Adam and Eve had this 24/7 but lost it. Christ bought it back to us. Nothing wrong with quiet time in your house. but there is something about encountering God in the elements he created. It is the best kind of therapy. When you come back to the issue it is not as big as it once was. That is because your perspective changes. Your mind is no longer focused on fixing an issue. But on the Creator, our heavenly father.

This evening or the next morning get up go outside find a quiet spot and sit there and don’t say or think about anything but God’s creation. I promise you will feel so awesome!

Much Love & God Bless
