Sunday Thoughts 7/30/17

st

Hello family!

Since I last wrote to you all God has pulled me into a season of spiritual and emotional growth. This season is far from over, to be honest I am not rushing it. In this season i God has connected me with people and He is showing me the impact that He has allowed me to have on there lives. I have formed a special bond with one brother in particular. We have very similar life history and God has used that to only strengthen our growing bond. during one of our nightly phone conversations he said some things that bought me to my knees and humbled me. “I look up to you, I see not only as a friend but a mentor. I see you like a pastor.

I don’t like titles nor do i want one, his words cut straight to my core and bought me to a state of thankfulness. I have not meet this fellow bother face to face yet our communication is via phone calls, text or internet and he is in a different state than i am. i write this with tears in my eyes because it humbles me and blows my mind that God would choose me to have such an impact on someones life.

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee 8/23/16 It Really Is The Little Things

15 [Young Women of Jerusalem] Catch all the foxes, those little foxes, before they ruin the vineyard of love, for the grapevines are blossoming! – Song of Songs 2:15 NLT

Hello family, this scripture can be applied in our entire life. It even works in the positive. We often look for big things to impact us but it is more so the small little thing that leave that big impact.

My pastor (well former pastor) and his family are relocating across country. The ministry that God put him at the head of has completed the mission God gave it. Leading up to this past Sunday i had flashback moments that would take me back to different moments from the past 8 years.

One moment happened as i was taping down the power cord for the projector. I flashed back to when were taping down the speaker wires when we first moved to the store front. i reflected back on the many conversations and the wisdom that he poured into me. All these simple tiny events are connected to a moment that God used my brother pastor to impact my life. Family, the Gold, the Platinum, the silver is in the little things

Morning Coffee 8/11/16 Young & The Elders

Read 1Peter 5:1-5

5 In the same way, you younger men must accept the authority of the elders. And all of you, serve each other in humility, for “God opposes the proud but favors the humble.” – 1 Peter 5:5 NLT

Hello family, In todays world It is the young vs the old. Some youth are ambitious and are eager to get there plans moving. And they don’t want to hear the wisdom from their elders. On the others side the some elders want nothing to do with the youth they don’t want to hear anything new that the youth have to share.

This is not how it should be! Youth! God sees your ambitions and knows you are ready to take on the world. But hear the wisdom of those who have gone before you. They may keep you from making a mistake that can be costly, you do not know it all. So submit to those over you.

Elders! God has placed these ambitious youth under you for a reason. Do not crush the fire they  have by not allowing them room to grow the gifts that God has given them. How will a harvest be reaped if new seed is not planted? You are there to nurture that seed until God moves it from

you.

Youth and Elders! Work together to accomplish the mission God gave you! “A house divided will not stand!” You need each other!

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee 1/28/16 Friend!

the new mc banner

15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. – John 15:15-16 NIV

Hello family, “You are my friend my brother even though you are a king”-As The Deer. That sentence is the beginning of the second verse of the song As The Deer. Whenever i heard or sung that line i feel God’s presence in the most intimate way. It’s just Him and I. And nothing else matters. Wow!

Tell me how many of these presidents, prime ministers, kings, queens all theses people of great stature and respect will personally choose you. And would want to know you on the deepest level good, bad, and, ugly and still call you friend!

NONE WILL! Because they will never be able to love you the way HE can! I love to hear the hymns because they communicate the awesomeness of our God in a way modern songs can’t touch. Not knocking any of todays artist but we cannot forget our foundation! We can not lose that!

The book of Psalms shows That God is not far off, someplace to high out of reach. No! He cares more than we will ever know! Yes He is our King, He is also our friend, our best friend who will always be there for us. And He shares the plans He has for us, not just the big stuff but the little stuff too! like what you should wear today! God is Awesome!  “You are my friend my brother even though you are a king”.

Much Love & God Bless
