Morning Coffee 4/10/17 Ask Not What Your God Can Do For You! But Ask What You Can Do For Your God!

READ ROMANS  12:1-2

1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service. – Romans 12:1 KJV

Hello family, Ask Not What Your God Can Do For You! But Ask  What You Can Do For Your God! Let’s be honest with our selves, we ask God for a lot! Majority of it is for self benefit. As this year has progressed God has been shifting my mindset from “God do for me!” to “God what can i do for you!” It’s not that i don’t ask Him for things for myself. It’s me coming into my personal time with God. With the mindset of a soldier reporting for duty, ready to execute His will.

We are in a time where we cannot get comfortable. we really should be doing the opposite. we should be prepared and expecting to be placed out of our comfort zone. I never met a soldier that fought with fuzzy bunny slippers on with a remote in there hand with a jumbo bag of popcorn. When God calls report for duty!

Ask Not What Your God Can Do For You! But Ask  What You Can Do For Your God!

Morning Coffee 2/24/16 The Process

Read Acts 9:1-12

Watch first: The Karate Kid (2010) – Jacket Scene (PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE)

8 Saul picked himself up off the ground, but when he opened his eyes he was blind. So his companions led him by the hand to Damascus. 9 He remained there blind for three days and did not eat or drink. – Acts 9:8-9 NLT

Hello family, When God is moving us from one stage of our life to the next, He may put us in a holding pattern. There are some things that he needs to pull out of us so we can step into the next season ready to take full advantage of it.

Has God given you a vision? (he has one for all of us). He has shown you your purpose or promised you something. And you say “ok Lord hit me with it!” But instead of dropping that purpose or promise right in your lap, God goes “Mr.Han” on you and tell you to take you jacket on then off.

Im sure it was not very fun for the karate kid to put a jacket on and then off when he was expecting to become a trained martial artist. And I’m sure it was not fun for Saul (soon to be Paul) be blind and not eat or drink for three days. But that just it! The process it not designed for our entertainment or enjoyment. The process is meant for our progress, for our humbling, for our strengthening. God had to temporally take Saul’s sight so he could see where he truly stood. God had to break Saul’s earthly greatness to show him what true greatness is.

It is only after we have gone through the process we see the need for the process. If Mr Han had put Dre in a completion on day one the boy would have been whipped. The same with us, if God dropped our promise or purpose in our laps on day one we would self-destruct. The process is not for our entertainment, the process is for our progress.

Morning Coffee 2/22/16 Shift!

Read Genesis 12:1-7

1 The LORD had said to Abram, “Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you. – Genesis 12:1 NLT

Hello family, In order to bring us to the next level in our walk with Him, God will cause a shift in our lives. Abram (soon to be Abraham) was doing just fine right where he was. He definitely was not lacking, he had his family around him and things were great as they were, so why move? Why? Because God is shifting him!

Our cars have gears each one has a different point at which it engages. If you have a car with a top speed of 200 Mph You will need to shift gears to get to 200, gear one will only get you to 90 Mph, you wont get to 200 Mph just on that gear alone. I know you have become very comfortable where you are, but its time to step up to the next level.

Shifting will also require you to do thing differently than you used to at gear one. You see gear two tops out at 120 mph. You can’t just lean back with one hand on the wheel with your slow jams on. No! At this new level you will need to turn off the slow jams and sit up! Because God has you moving at a more intense speed, you are going to need to be more vigilant looking out for any hazards. The enemy wants to keep you down. More attacks will come be ready for them.

God will also give us direction, and we must be ready to act at a moments notice. If He wants you to replace the time you use to watch you favorite show with quite time with Him, guess what gotta give it up! When we shift up to the next level we can’t do the same thine we did before and expect different results, that is called insanity! God is shifting you, expect the unexpected, be ready to move when He says move, sit up turn off the slow jams and be alert!

Morning Coffee 2/16/16 I Won’t Complain!

3 “If only the LORD had killed us back in Egypt,” they moaned. “There we sat around pots filled with meat and ate all the bread we wanted. But now you have brought us into this wilderness to starve us all to death.” – Exodus 16:3 NLT

Hello family, While in the wilderness the Israelites did a lot of complaining. God was providing for there every need, He kept there clothing from getting old, He provided sweet water for them to drink and more! But They still found something to complain about wishing they were back in Egypt.

My Job right now in on a low swing there are not many hours to work. Some of my co-workers are wishing that they did not have this job because how hard it is to get hours. I said to myself ‘at least you got a job to fight for hours for! See family this position was ten years in the making, God had to prepare me for it! When i got it he told me there will be low times like this.

I am not going to allow a single thought of complaint to dwell in my mind. Why because i could be one of the thousands still looking for employment. But no I’m in a position where i know there will be hours available i just have to look harder.  I am not going to wish for another job I waited ten years for this one! Its not perfect but it fits my life style perfectly with all my needs.

In the time i am not working i will be working on other projects God wants me to do. I will not complain, God is providing for me!

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee Revisited: 10/14/14 Factory Reset!

cropped-mc.png

(FIRST READ JEREMIAH CHAPTER 24)

“Then the  lord  gave me this message:  “This is what the  lord , the God of Israel, says: The good figs represent the exiles I sent from Judah to the land of the Babylonians.    I will watch over and care for them, and I will bring them back here again. I will build them up and not tear them down. I will plant them and not uproot them.  I will give them hearts that recognize me as the  lord . They will be my people, and I will be their God, for they will return to me wholeheartedly. “But the bad figs,” the  lord  said, “represent King Zedekiah of Judah, his officials, all the people left in Jerusalem, and those who live in Egypt. I will treat them like bad figs, too rotten to eat.  I will make them an object of horror and a symbol of evil to every nation on earth. They will be disgraced and mocked, taunted and cursed, wherever I scatter them.  And I will send war, famine, and disease until they have vanished from the land of Israel, which I gave to them and their ancestors.” (Jeremiah 24:4-10 NLT)

Some times our computers get so bogged down with junk and trash, we have to take to a technician to do a factory reset. This will eraseing everything but the technician we will have us back up all the good files and programs we need to an external storage, leaving the bad ones to be destroyed. This is what God had to do to Judah, He sees the good hearts of the people that will serve Him and be loyal to Him. So He is sending them to Babylon so they won’t be destroyed with the evil people. He is doing a factory reset on the nation of Israel.

God sees the good in us and He wants to bring it out and develop it! But there are some negative bad stuff in us that needs to go.  God is the virus killer He will come through our life and totally reset everything. He wont delete the good, in fact he will prune it (Read John chapter 15:2) so it can grow and be more fruitfull.  But the bad stuff He will remove. Some stuff will go easy but others will not, it may hurt for it to be removed. But it is for the better.

God is performing a factory rest in my life. I am not the same person I was  at the start of this year. I am completely different. I desire Him more than ever and I truly cannot live without Him. Let God Perform the factory rest in you, don’t fight it embrace it. Its not always gonna feel good but it is for your good. This will not destroy you but it will better you! Embrace your factory reset!

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee 1/27/16 Graduation!!!!

the new mc banner

12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. – Philippians 3:12 NIV

Hello family, When i graduated high school it was bitter sweet. I was excited that i completed my public education and looked forward to what the future had in store. But at the same time i was sad because of the bonds i had made over ten or more years with friends. I would never see some of these people ever again. Plus i was starting college in the fall and the big unknown lay ahead.

When God moves us forward it can be bitter sweet or just feel bitter (key word feel) when it really is a God thing (that is not a typo) that He is moving us to a new level. We sometimes get too comfortable in place. And God has to push us up and out in order for us to move on. If he dose not we will fight tooth and nail, kicking and screaming to stay where we are at. So our loving father has to rock the boat a little in order for us to get up and go.

As long as we are drawing breath our progress will continue. So when graduation day approaches don’t fight to stay where you are, embrace what God has in store for you at the next level! And cherish what you learned from yesterday and be eager to receive the opportunities of tomorrow! Keep marching its graduation day!

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee 1/25/16 Pain and Discomfort

the new mc banner

17 For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! 18 So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever. – 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 NLT

Hello family, pain and discomfort. These are things we would rather not deal with. If we could we would love to put it all in a box and toss it away. But pain is necessary, discomfort is needed to move us forward in God and life.

When i encounter a painful or discomforting situation my first reaction is to get away from the source of it as quickly as possible. If i cannot get away from the source my next move is to block it out or suppress the pain i am feeling. We live in a world that is focused on finding ways to eliminate pain and discomfort. This world is focused on being as comfortable and pain free as possible.

This can be dangerous. How else do we know that there is something wrong. If you twisted your ankle but never felt pain then you would do even more damage because we won’t  fell the pain from the damage letting us know there is something terribly wrong. God will allow us to be discomforted and challenged in our spiritual walk. We must not back down, but we press in and ask God to show us what is wrong and what does he need us to do.

Many lessons in life are learned not in the safety of books and the classroom but out on the battlefield. When we apply the basics we learned in the classroom. God will step us up another level without taking us back into the classroom. Every lesson will not be easy breezy as a matter of fact each lesson will be more and more challenging. They are designed to draw us to our heavenly father to get instruction from Him then go out into the field and apply it so we can gain experience.

We will get some scars and fail some test. We then learn from that experience and use it as a stepping stone to the next level. Pain and Discomfort are not our enemies, they are tools for our success!

Much Love & God Bless
