Morning Coffee 9/15/16 Untitiled

Hello family, Over the past few month i have gotten inconsistent with posting morning coffee devotions and that is 100% my fault. Procrastination has been my biggest enemy. And God is  correcting me. God laid out a road map for me and Morning coffee. He’s been knocking on my heart saying, “Why are you not writing? Here is what i want you to write.” i would put it off and say ill do it later. Well, later is here.

Sometimes we (myself included) really don’t see the importance of the gifts and ministries God gives us. I know i haven’t been looking with God’s eyes. I’ve kept on the rose tinted glasses of my flesh. And i am so wrong for that. Ive been seeing the likes on older devotions some of you have made on the word press blog. God showed me that This ministry is still valid. God established it and only he can take it down.

I apologize to you my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ for going MIA and abandon my post. I will not stop writing, i can’t God won’t let me! I will be here and where ever He needs me. Because this ministry no matter how small matters. lets see this world with Gods eyes

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee 5/6/16 Low Income Mentality

the new mc banner

Read Matthew 24:14-30

18 But the servant who received the one bag of silver dug a hole in the ground and hid the master’s money. – Matthew 25:18 NLT

Hello family, A child came down from playing with her toys. She saw her father sitting quietly by the fireplace. She quietly approached him putting her hand on his. He turned, smiled and picked her up into his lap. They sat in the warm glow of the fire for a while. The father discerning his daughter, asked “is there something you want to ask me?”

The child nodded yes. “What is it that you want ask?” the father replied. “Some new dollies please daddy?” The father stood up still holding his child, “Come lets go to your room.” when they came to the room it was a sight to behold. Dresses, little shoes dolls lay everywhere, it was a total mess. The father looked at his daughter and said, “Do you remember me telling you if you want better toys, you have to take good care of the ones you have?”

The daughter protested, “But it’s too hard daddy i can’t clean this up! It takes to much time to organize them!” Clearing his throat the father sat his daughter down on the messy bed and sat next to her and said, “Well with an attitude like that you wont be getting new dolls.”

Do you have a low income mentality? Do you dream of great things but when you see the leg work that needs to be done for those things, you back off? Has God said to you “go take good care of what you have!” Only to let it fall by the wayside?

I will be the first to rase my hand! i have had a low income mentality. God provided me with certain gifts and abilities. I want to go higher but Daddy keeps saying, “Do well with what you got!” and my reply is “It’s too hard!” If it was too hard, if you could not take good care of it. If you could not be a Good steward over the ministries, the gifts, the talents, the mission, the car, the house, the family that He (God) gave you. If you could not do it He would not have given it to you!

Stop looking at your situation as impossible! It is well with in your God given ability! We do not have a low income of anything! Our Daddy God got it all!  (read Psalm 50:10) As you take better care of the things in front  of you, He will keep fueling you from his limitless resources!

You can’t put more gas in a car with a full tank. God is saying, “I have placed in you all you need to get started.” As you drive along and need more gas or a bigger this or more powerful that, He will add it. But only if you have the right mindset to handle it.

No more low income mentality! Don’t burry you one talent in fear. We don’t live by that! Go and grow what God gave you!

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee 3/30/16 Don’t Say What you Won’t Do!

Read Daniel 4

25 You will be driven from human society, and you will live in the fields with the wild animals. You will eat grass like a cow, and you will be drenched with the dew of heaven. Seven periods of time will pass while you live this way, until you learn that the Most High rules over the kingdoms of the world and gives them to anyone he chooses. – Daniel 4:25 NLT

Hello family, We can get to comfortable during times of prosperity. When we do that we can begin think we got it all together and hard times won’t hit. This is when God reminds us who is really in charge.

I had a mini Nebuchadnezzar moment. Since i started my job in September of 2015 work hours have not been hard to come by. God blessed me with hours to work, dropped then in my lap. Didn’t have to break a sweat.

I didn’t have to stalk the system for hours to work like my coworkers. I figured that i would never have to stalk, I got it made! Well God showed we other wise. I got up on Tuesday morning expecting the normal availability of dropped hours from other coworkers, there were none! I spent from 7 am to 9:30 am glued to my phone refreshing the system stalking it for the hours i needed to work that day. When i did get the hours i needed The Holy spirit whispered “don’t say what you won’t do, I’m in charge!

Morning Coffee 3/22/16 Reality Checks

the new mc banner

Read Acts 9:1-8

4 He fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul! Saul! Why are you persecuting me?” 5 “Who are you, lord?” Saul asked. And the voice replied, “I am Jesus, the one you are persecuting! – Acts 9:4-5 NLT

Hello family, reality checks often abruptly interrupt our life leaving us feeling like the rug has been jerked from under our feet and more often than not, the reality check hurts. They may hurt but they are necessary.

Saul (soon to be Paul) thought he was doing God’s will, He thought inline with what God wanted him to do. Saul had so much conviction in eliminating all followers of Christ that Christ himself spoke directly and exclusively to Him. Saul’s encounter left him temporary blinded. I bet you he learned a few things in that time with out his sight.

Reality checks come with black or white choices (in some cases only one choice). There is no middle ground. You do what God is telling you to do or reap the consequences. And the consequences are life altering often affecting more than just you. The same is true for the benefits of taking heed to God’s reality check. Just look at the effect it had with Paul.

When we are obedient to the reality checks God sends our way, the person has an identity shift (see Gen 35:1-10) from that point on they no longer identify with their former self. God has placed them on a completely different path totally opposite of the one they were on.

Abandon what you used to do. This change in you life is critical more than you know! Don’t wait for a second chance more than likely there won’t be one, this is you opportunity take it by the horns!

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee 2/24/16 The Process

the new mc banner

Read Acts 9:1-12

Watch first: The Karate Kid (2010) – Jacket Scene (PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE)

8 Saul picked himself up off the ground, but when he opened his eyes he was blind. So his companions led him by the hand to Damascus. 9 He remained there blind for three days and did not eat or drink. – Acts 9:8-9 NLT

Hello family, When God is moving us from one stage of our life to the next, He may put us in a holding pattern. There are some things that he needs to pull out of us so we can step into the next season ready to take full advantage of it.

Has God given you a vision? (he has one for all of us). He has shown you your purpose or promised you something. And you say “ok Lord hit me with it!” But instead of dropping that purpose or promise right in your lap, God goes “Mr.Han” on you and tell you to take you jacket on then off.

Im sure it was not very fun for the karate kid to put a jacket on and then off when he was expecting to become a trained martial artist. And I’m sure it was not fun for Saul (soon to be Paul) be blind and not eat or drink for three days. But that just it! The process it not designed for our entertainment or enjoyment. The process is meant for our progress, for our humbling, for our strengthening. God had to temporally take Saul’s sight so he could see where he truly stood. God had to break Saul’s earthly greatness to show him what true greatness is.

It is only after we have gone through the process we see the need for the process. If Mr Han had put Dre in a completion on day one the boy would have been whipped. The same with us, if God dropped our promise or purpose in our laps on day one we would self-destruct. The process is not for our entertainment, the process is for our progress.

Morning Coffee 2/17/16 He Loves Us Enough To Break Us

the new mc banner

READ JEREMIAH 18

6 “O Israel, can I not do to you as this potter has done to his clay? As the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand. – Jeremiah 18:6 NLT

Hello family, Some times we get off track from where He wants us to be. And in order to get our attention He will allow situations in our lives to arise to bring us to our knees. This is not because He is power hungry tyrant! That is not who God is at all!

Our heavenly father is a God of Love. He loves us so much that He hand crafted us down to the smallest micron. He gave His one and only son as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. So that we can have a personal one on one relationship with Him. He has a plan for our lives and He wants us to walk it out.

God has a lot invested in us, He wants us to live out Jeremiah 29:11. But we must stay the course. When He see us going astray he will bring us to our knees so we can draw back to Him. He loves us enough to break us! To save us from an end He never intended us to see. He wont leave us broken! He will lift us back up Better than we were before. There are souls out there that He has destined you to minister too and He needs us right in line with Him, Ready when the time comes. If God Did not Love us that much a lot of us (maybe all of us) would not be where we are today!

Much Love & God Bless
