Morning Coffee 2/11/19 The Gospel According to….

Hello Family…

Hello family,

The Word of God does not stop at the last “Amen” in Revelation. As I was on my way to church one Sunday , the Holy Spirit said to me “You are still in bible times.” When we read the bible we sometimes put it in a box.

We put a distance between our lives and the sixty six books, as if we are incapable of being used by God in the same way He used the people in thoes books. If the Word of God is living and active, then it is not restricted to just sixty six books. You and I are not any less or more important than the disciples that walked with Christ.

When Christ came into your life He started the Gospel within you. So the people that come into your path have a chance to read from your life, the Gospel according to (your name here). You are an apostle to someone in your sphere of influence. God wants them to read from your book.

The Bible is our blueprint for life, just because the Gospel of (your name here) is not physically written in it does not make you any less significant. We have to realize the authority God gave us, to impact this world.

Much Love & God Bless

“Even Till The End Of The Age!” (Poem)

Hello Family…

Even when government rises against government. He is with you.

Even when there are wars and rumors of wars, He is with you.

Even when the elect are fooled and turn away in there blindness.

Even then God will not abandon those who truly seek is guidance.

Even as heaven and earth pass away and the mountains turn to dust. He is with you.

Even when they put you on trial because of His name, He is with you.

His thoughts of you existed before the foundations of the world.

He is faithful and will complete the work He started in you.

Be still and know that He alone is God, And He will not abandon you.

He will present you faultless in the presence of His Glory.

He will wipe away every tear and all sorrows will fade.

Your steps are ordered of the Lord. He guide you.

Do not fear the shadow of death, for it will not touch you!

He was with you yesterday, He is with you today.

And will be with you even till the end of the age.

Morning Coffee 1/8/19 “I’m gonna be Batman!”

Hello Family…

Please watch the above video first.

“I’m gonna be Batman” “And I’m gonna be the police chief so i can help my brother!”

These were the responses my seven and eleven year old cousins gave to my mother when she asked them what they wanted to be when they grew up. They were not joking in the least. My mother and I attempted to reason them into more attainable carrier goals but all that did was strengthen there determination to be Batman and the police chief (not a police chief, The police chief). The discussion got so deep that by the time they left I had given up any attempt to convince them that they could not be what they aspired to become.

At one point we were my cousins, we were the little boy in the video above. Then we met doubt and logic and we allowed them to clip our wings. So when God leads us in an impossible direction we back away and retreat to our comfort zone, where things make logical sense.

The boy in the video wanted to be spider man and at some point before the recording started he looked to his Father to provide the impossible. In 2019 we are going to be presented with impossible things and we will feel the Holy Spirit leading us into these things. But he will not force us into them.

‘Is anything too hard for the Lord ? I will return about this time next year, and Sarah will have a son.”’ Genesis 18:14 NLT

Morning Coffee 1/7/19 Friends & Slaves

Hello Family…

“I no longer call you slaves, because a master doesn’t confide in his slaves. Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me.” John 15:15 NLT

Jesus had to re adjust how the disciples viewed their relationship with Him. The things that He would share with them through the holy spirit would be on a deeper personal level. Yes they will still serve Christ but not out of a “because my master says so” thinking, but a “Christ is my friend, i will follow Him because i love Him” mindset.

The church (body of Christ) today operates primarily from a slave mindset. You may have just raised an eyebrow and felt the urge to click away at what i just said but let the Holy Spirit speak your spirit. We have put God out of reach. we have boxed our selves into being robots. Sunday go to church get a message to get us to Wednesday night bible study or next Sunday where we come in weighed down by the baggage from the previous week and look for a message from the pastor to lift us up for the up coming week.

HELLO!!!! Christ calls us His FRIEND! Think about your closest friend, if they need to spend time with you do they call a mutual friend to get the message to you? No, They come directly to you! The pastors and bishops are not the only ones that cant get a revelation form God, We can can get all deep mysteries we want and then minister to others. God bless you pastor or bishop God put them in the right position but don’t make them god.

You know why the Apostles did such awesome and bold things? They didn’t put Christ in an untouchable place. They operated from relationship and not religion. In the early church there was not membership but relationship And everyone was a minister, everyone was viewed as vital. You don’t sacrifice you self for slaves. You sacrifice out of the love for a friend. And that is what Christ did.

Morning Coffee 1/5/19 Disciplined

Hello Family…

We are disciplined in the things we want to be disciplined in.

take a moment let that sink in and marinate for a minute. On January 2nd I grew tired of the disarray that my room was in. Fueled by frustration and the comments of my eleven and seven year old cousins “Brandon your room is always junkie.” I forced my self out of bed, grabbed some trash bags and blocked out every distraction until the room was clean and in order.

But doing this frustration fueled massive clean is nothing new. I have attacked my room before only for it to end up in shambles not long after. The key is discipline! Breaking the little lazy habits that build up and make a big mess. It is a conscious 24/7 effort to defeat the smallest of habits that lead to a junkie room. But if i want my room to stay the way it is then these are the things i need to do.

Some areas we are naturally disciplined in. Then there are areas of our life that we “angry clean” only for it to return to its previous state. These are the areas that God wants to work on, and He will let you know that they need working on. But we push it off and come up with lame excuses to give reason why we simply can’t do it. The truth is we don’t want to go through the discipline to improve that part of our life.

We will only hurt our self in the end if we live a discipline less life. ”
No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.” Hebrews 12:11 NIV

Morning Coffee 1/2/19 Another Year…

Hello Family…

Right now I have so much stirring within me, I am trying to process where to start… “Remember, things don’t change because the year changed. If you want REAL change, commit to it. Make it happen. This is is your year.”

“This is your year.” What does that really mean? That phrase and others like it have become border line useless. I am not going to rant about it. But i will say this, If your house gets wiped out by a force of nature is it still your year? If you lose a love one close to your heart is it still your year? If the things you planed to accomplish don’t come to pass is it still your year? Yes it is!

I do not wish any of the above examples on any of you. Just because hard times hit does not change God’s plan for you. My name means beacon of light or beacon hill. There have been many times i have not acted as such. Did my name suddenly change because of those moments? No! These moments were life shaping moments that God used to build me.

Know This…

  1. It may look like you are surrounded but you are surrounded by the army of the living God!
  2. Each day is a building block in your life
  3. Do not live as a victim. After all we do serve the one and only true God. He has equipped you!

Morning Coffee 12/4/18 What You Really Should Be Doing!

Hello Family…

Have you ever started something and then something else comes along and you begin to focus on that thing instead of what you were originally working on?

Well that’s what happened to me this past month. God gave me projects to oversee and i started working on them. But a distraction came along and it did not look bad, nor would anyone consider it bad. On the surface level it was a beautiful thing.

But as i got deeper into this thing. It’s true nature showed its self. A distraction! Designed to get me off focus. I had to unplug from this project, because it simply was not what i should be doing! ‘You say, “I am allowed to do anything” —but not everything is good for you. You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is beneficial. ‘1 Corinthians 10:23 NLT

Morning Coffee 11/27/18 Sucker Punched

Hello Family…

‘Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.’James 1:2-4 NLT

I as write this, I am processing a life situation. I was moving full speed in a direction that my heart was set and fully involved in. BOOM! Next thing I know systems are unplugged that i didn’t unplug and the dash is lit up with all kinds of warning lights and master alarms.

Now I am reading this scripture and praying that bitterness and everything related to it does not seep into my heart. Other wise any adjustments will be contaminated. Decision making + bitterness = missed target.

Life does throw sucker punches our way and we may want to comeback with a counter punch or build a wall of defense not letting anything in or out. But you know what? Even the most devastating of hurricanes provide a greater benefit (on a side note they are the earths air conditioners). Its easy to see the devastation immediately after but look back ten years or even a year, i promise you will find benefits from the storm.

Morning Coffee 11/26/18 Untitled (Poem)

Hello Family…

If a composer has the ability to compose the greatest of songs, but does not compose them, how will the songs reach the the empty souls longing to be filled?

If a painter can paint the most vivid masterpiece, but leaves his brushes and palette dry, how will the world see the expression of his soul?

If a writer can use words to paint the world, but never puts pen to paper he is doing himself but more importantly his fellow man a grave disservice.

We can dream a thousand dreams and be inspired by there beckoning call, but if we never reach for one we might as well not try at all.
