17 When Pharaoh finally let the people go, God did not lead them along the main road that runs through Philistine territory, even though that was the shortest route to the Promised Land. God said, “If the people are faced with a battle, they might change their minds and return to Egypt.” 18 So God led them in a roundabout way through the wilderness toward the Red Sea. Thus the Israelites left Egypt like an army ready for battle. – Exodus 13:17-18 NLT
What if Moses and the Israelites marched across the red sea on a pre built bridge? what if the took the shortcut? It wouldn’t make for such a awesome story. It would make the story very “run of the mill.” And God would get no glory in it. God is not some egotistical, power hungry tyrant! First of all unlike man He actually deserves the Glory! Secondly He wants to use your Red Sea story for two purposes. To draw others out of darkness (Egypt) and into the light and to remind you when you are faced with future trials, you can look back and see how far He has bought you. then you can be encouraged and march forward into the promise land God has for you1
10 “Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.” – Psalm 46:10 NLT
When God starts bringing sudden shifts and changes in your life, The best thing to do is to let Him be God and work His wonder in your life. weather its a trial by fire or he is bringing you to the cool of the mountain top. Step back and watch Him work.
On January 23 God dropped a beautiful woman in my life. We just celebrated one month of getting to know each other. In this short span 0f time God has connected us on a deeper level with each passing day. Each day in communication with her drew me closer to God and increased my hunger for Him. God has also used each of us to minister to each other and to identify weak areas of our life. Because I have never had a woman step so deep into my life. I allowed fear to arise, i allowed the wrong outside influences to shake me. And I almost cut short an incredible relationship that God established. I thank God that she has discernment and patience. Because she could have said “dude you are unstable I’m out!” But she is still with me. continuously discerning and praying for me. Thank you Casey I Love you!
you may not fully process what God is doing in your life right now. Don’t try and figure it out don’t try and plot what the next move is. just step back and say “ok God I’m here and will do as you lead!”
32 All the believers were united in heart and mind. And they felt that what they owned was not their own, so they shared everything they had. – Acts 4:32 NLT
What if there were no boarders? What if you looked at the map of the world and every boarder and boundary was gone? What if there were no county lines no zip codes or area codes or country codes? what if every form of land calming or property separation was gone? What if we had no denominations? What if we all had blue skin and green hair all seven billion of us?! What could you claim as you own? what area or town could you say you represent? The only dividing line God sees is if your heart is after Him or after this world. That is the only division God acknowledges and acts on. Everything else doesn’t mean a thing! this devotion is not going to end in a direct given specific point. That is for you and the Holy Spirt to discuss. But do think about the scenario that was placed before you.
When God speaks peace is always involved. When the enemy or our flesh speaks confusion, disillusionment follows. God Will place things before us or tell us things. And He will bring peace and confirmation to back up what He is presenting. But then something (A person, a situation, etc) will come and shake our faith in what God showed us. Now we have two choices we can Stand on our faith in God in what He has placed before us or. we can be blown over by the winds of doubt. But see If your faith is planted in God you will bend but not break or fall over. But if your faith is planted in something else you won’t be able to stand for long.
I trust you in the future that you are leading me to. I take my hands off the wheel and let you have your way. I will only move when you say move, and i will stay when you tell me to stay. I don’t see every step on my path but I am trusting you that you have ordered every step that i need to take. Even when the valley of the shadow of death surrounds me, I will not fear. Because you go before me clearing the path and lighting the way. You are my help, you are my way maker, you are my light in the darkness that is who you are. I trust you God lead me and I will follow. In Jesus name Amen!
4 And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here [am] I. – Exodus 3:4 KJV
“God is presenting “burning bushes” to those He has chosen and they have to answer.”
Hello family, God bought me back to and old morning coffee devotion i wrote on 11/22/16 titled
“I Don’t Understand It (But I Will Obey)” I don’t fully understand the current season I am in. I expected it to go one way, but God directed it a totally different way. On an afternoon walk I vented to God about how I00 thought things should be right now and asking him what does he want me to do in this season.
He said to me “I am your provider, not some job! I am your source, have I ever lead you wrong? Take care of the things i have placed before you and will place before you. Do not neglect them, I have placed theses things in your care. When I want you to do something I will let you know!”
Keep your ear to the ground so that you will sense where the spirt is leading. Be on high alert, be watching and ever ready for when God tells you to move. The time now is so incredibly critical. Just as Ester received and acted on the wisdom of her uncle Mordecai. It is such a time as this that you act andmove according to the Holy Spirit. Make your shelter in the name of the Most High! Abide under His wings, there you will find an abundance of all that you need!
When God moves you into a new season, the only thing you carry from that season are the lessons learned. If you spiritual mentality changes, your mental mentality has to change to, as well as your physical. You can’t change one part and not affect the others. So as God makes things new in your life, let him sweep out the old let him clean house. Don’t hold anything back from Him. Jesus came that you might have life and life more abundantly.
Look any marathon style sport, cycling (like tour de France), triathlon, etc. The athletes running the race are not sent out on there own to fend for them self. They have a support team stocked with supplies to help the athletes (This especially true and more visible in grand tour cycling). and if the support car cannot reach the athlete their are team members running the same race that will provide whatever aid they can to help their teammate while still running their own race.
My fellow singles when God does bring someone alongside you that could be a possible husband or a possible wife, they should not stop you in you tracks on the path God has you on. If anything they should add to it, listening to the Holy Spirt on what actions to take to add to your walk with Christ and draw you closer to Him. I don’t care how tall he is or how fine she is, if they distract you from God and the purpose God has for you. Then You need to re evaluate that connection.
22 Suddenly he follows her As an ox goes to the slaughter, Or as one in fetters to the discipline of a fool, 23 Until an arrow pierces through his liver; As a bird hastens to the snare, So he does not know that it will cost him his life. – Proverbs 7:22-23 NASB
Here is part two of “What Happens When She Leads!” If you are just joining please read part one first. So Adam and proverbs 7 man clearly put them selves in a position to fail. But even at that point it still was not too late to turn things around. But neither man did, they both made the second and most critical mistake. They accepted what was offered to them, they didn’t use the discernment God gave them and went along blindly with what was being presented.
Lets look at Adam. This dude is no fool he named every thing on the planet even his wife! There is no fruit or animal or anything that is unfamiliar to him. So when Eve comes in with this fruit, he should have looked at that thing and said “Boo listen. I know that looks good but that is from that knowledge of good and evil tree! and we are not supposed to touch that! So toss that out!” You see Eve was doing what a good wife would do bring in things that look good for her husband (see proverbs 31) But see now Adam is the gatekeeper to his household and so much more.
Brothers i need you to see this! You don’t have to accept everything that comes to your gate! She maybe jumping and shouting in church but six hours ago she was jumping and shouting with Jimmy on a boxspring at motel 6 ministries! (that was for fellow single brothers) This applies heavier to my married brothers! Your wife comes home angry and you don’t do anything to dispel it, fifth-teen minutes later you angry, the kids are angry, even lily the goldfish mad at you! why because you stamped your approval on what was presented to you at the gate!
God has placed a friend in my life and i am developing a growing friendship with her. our first night of conversation she pushed my leadership button and it active something in me spiritually. She said “you lead sir!” God built leadership into men. I’m Not saying that women cant lead. What i am say is Men are the gatekeepers single and married. And God puts a higher expectation on that. It is part of the Order that God set up in genesis. So when things go wrong He’s gonna look at you Adam!
