Morning Coffee flashback 4/7/15 Justice! (In Due Season)

mc

“God will judge us for everything we do, including every secret thing, whether good or bad.” (Ecclesiastes 12:14 NLT)

Hello, family every day we see injustice. Corrupt cops and judges, wrongfully imprisoned people. Injustice is all around us. It may seem like the bad guys are getting away with their evil deeds. They may escape the courts here on earth, but they cannot escape Gods court. They will have their day in court and god will have the final say. So do not stress yourself in this matter let God bring the final judgment on them. They will have their day! The deeds that they think that they hid will be brought to light!

Morning Coffee 8/30/16 Can’t Stay Like This

11 When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things. – 1 Corinthians 13:11 NLT

Hello family, This new season i am in has called for a shift in me that i can no longer delay. As the seasons change we too must change with them.

I am 30 years old and to be honest it does not feel like i thought it would. So far its felt like turning twenty. I”ve seen glimpses of what God has in store for me and i am excited. But in order for these things to come to pass it requires surrender to be honest has been an uphill battle for me. But i got to surrender to God what he want from me. I will not be passed by in this season. My time of idleness is over! Surrender! I know that in the end i will game so much more than what i give up.

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee 8/29/16 When Its God

17 For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. – 2 Corinthians 3:17 NLT

Hello family, as most of you know God has been making some changes in my life (part of the reason i haven’t written as much). This changes have definitely had an impact on me. As i sit here and reflect on the times God bought change in my life. I can see in every instance of change, God provided  a seamless transfer. When one door was closing another was open or opening.

Now you may think seamless transfer may mean with out stressful moments and everything is just dandy and butterflies. That is not always the case. The past the month i have had to combat doubt. And fully trust God with the plan he has set before me. Seamless transfer means It will be right for you. You will find the place you fit in, in this new season. dismiss those doubts and see with your spiritual eyes. Go by who you know God to be and not what your six senses tell you. When it is God you will know it by it fruit.

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee 8/25/14 Flashback The Beatitudes: The Humble (meek) are Blessed

mc

God blesses those who are humble, for they will inherit the whole earth.” (Matthew 5:5 NLT)

Jesus is continuing His Sermon on the Mount, He now speaking about those who remain humble.

In other translations of the Bible in Matthew 5:5 (like the NIV, and ASV) the word meek is used in place of humble. Since we have been on humility over the past few days, let’s, start there. I did a little more digging and research, on this verse. And it takes humility to another level. I read John Gills commentary on this scripture. (Link is at the bottom) Humility or meekness is supposed to flow from us. In this life we are going to run into some people that don’t have the best people skills, or look out for our best. They may stab us in the back (figuratively speaking) and our flesh may want to rise up and get that person back but we will have to humble our self and let God handle it. We may have to learn from a follow believer that is mean and rough around the edges. We will still have to be humble and receive what God wants us to learn from them. Being Humble means to think of others higher than yourself no matter how much skill you have. Don’t look at humility as if you are lying down and letting people run over you. No if anything it will make you stronger. You will be able to receive more and grow more. And at the end of our time hear on earth our inheritance won’t be of this world but of God’s Kingdom. “God blesses those who are humble, for they will inherit the whole earth.” (Matthew 5:5 NLT)

I know this is all easier said than done but by humbling our self we won’t have to learn lessons the hard way. In all you do be humble and meek. And watch and see how blesses you, you will gain so much more.

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee 8/25/16 The god Of This Age

Read 2 Corinthians 4

4 Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God. – 2 Corinthians 4:4 NLT

Hello family, We may look at the world we live in and see all that is going on and wonder, when it will get better? Speaking for myself i keep looking for a massive event to shift this world to God. And things stop going down hill.

But things wont stop going down hill, things will get worse, we will face more and more persecution. We will find our selves more and more in situations where we will have to take a stand for Christ.

Asked myself this question is it worth pushing against the grain of society, is it worth daliy renewing my mind and disciplining my body to follow God’s will? Of course the answer is yes!

Our ultimate and final victory is not found in this mortal world. It will be found when this world ends and God make everything new.

Our earthly minds have trouble grasping anything beyond this earthly realm. That is why we walk by faith and not by sight. This world is truly nothing! But God is everything!

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee 8/24/16 Embrace What is Next.

1 And the LORD said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons. – 1 Samuel 16:1 KJV

Hello family, many times in our life God will bring change and set something new before us. But we look back and hold on so tight to what was that we can’t embrace the next step.

Samuel was grieving over the loss of  king Saul. The Lord had Samuels next mission waiting for him, he just had to be willing to move forward. in so many words God said move on dude! The season you are coming out of may be a good one. But that season has ended and God has something new waiting for you. Yes, cherish the memories you made and the lessons you learned, but don’t try and fit what was in last season in this season. God is doing a new thing so embrace it!

Morning Coffee 8/23/16 It Really Is The Little Things

15 [Young Women of Jerusalem] Catch all the foxes, those little foxes, before they ruin the vineyard of love, for the grapevines are blossoming! – Song of Songs 2:15 NLT

Hello family, this scripture can be applied in our entire life. It even works in the positive. We often look for big things to impact us but it is more so the small little thing that leave that big impact.

My pastor (well former pastor) and his family are relocating across country. The ministry that God put him at the head of has completed the mission God gave it. Leading up to this past Sunday i had flashback moments that would take me back to different moments from the past 8 years.

One moment happened as i was taping down the power cord for the projector. I flashed back to when were taping down the speaker wires when we first moved to the store front. i reflected back on the many conversations and the wisdom that he poured into me. All these simple tiny events are connected to a moment that God used my brother pastor to impact my life. Family, the Gold, the Platinum, the silver is in the little things

Morning Coffee 8/17/14 flash back     Follow Me

mc

“One day as Jesus was walking along the shore of the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers—Simon, also called Peter, and Andrew—throwing a net into the water, for they fished for a living.  Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!”    And they left their nets at once and followed him. A little farther up the shore he saw two other brothers, James and John, sitting in a boat with their father, Zebedee, repairing their nets. And he called them to come, too.  They immediately followed him, leaving the boat and their father behind.” (Matthew 4:18-22 NLT)

Yes I know you may have heard and read this passage of scripture multiple times. But there is a reason you are reading this today. So before we continue drop the “I heard this before!” attitude. And open you heart and mind to what the Lord wants you to receive!

Ok!  Simon ( a.k.a.Peter), Andrew, James, And John have abandoned the family businesses to follow Jesus. Let’s put things into perspective. These four men have just left their jobs, there main source of income, to follow Christ! That just blows my mind! But when God calls you, you answer. You see these events were already laid out. Long before these first four disciples were born, it was already stitched into their DNA that they would be Disciples of Christ. “For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he  predestined us for adoption to sonship  through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will” (Ephesians 1:4-5 NLT)

God saw fit to call you into His service. There are ministries He has planted in you that He will use bless others and bring Glory to His Name. Don’t stress about how these ministries will come about. When the time is right God will call you to do what He has placed In you. Some of these things you may already know, others are waiting to be un locked. And when He does call you out it won’t be because of anything you did. When He calls you, you will know it and you will follow!

Morning Coffee Flashback 8/2/14 Pretty Enough To Take You Down

mc

“Then Delilah pouted, “How can you tell me, ‘I love you,’ when you don’t share your secrets with me? You’ve made fun of me three times now, and you still haven’t told me what makes you so strong!”  She tormented him with her nagging day after day until he was sick to death of it. Finally, Samson shared his secret with her. “My hair has never been cut,” he confessed, “for I was dedicated to God as a Nazirite from birth. If my head were shaved, my strength would leave me, and I would become as weak as anyone else.” Delilah realized he had finally told her the truth, so she sent for the Philistine rulers. “Come back one more time,” she said, “for he has finally told me his secret.” So the Philistine rulers returned with the money in their hands.  Delilah lulled Samson to sleep with his head in her lap, and then she called in a man to shave off the seven locks of his hair. In this way she began to bring him down, and his strength left him. Then she cried out, “Samson! The Philistines have come to capture you!” When he woke up, he thought, “I will do as before and shake myself free.” But he didn’t realize the Lord had left him.” (Judges 16:15-20 NLT)

We all have it.  It’s called an alkalis heel, that one thing that captivates our flesh. In Sampson’s case it was women. He was so captivated by her that he did not see the many warning signs. By the time he realized what happen it was too late.

We all have a weak spot, we are not impenetrable. But God beading as gracious as He is, will send us warning signs that we are getting our self into something that can take us out. Sampson got his first warning from his mother and father. (Read Judges 14) Sampson didn’t take head to his parents warning. Little did he know that his desire for the beautiful philistine women would be his downfall. Sampson lost his anointing the same way the philistine’s solved his riddle. His wife kept begging and nagging until he gave up his secret. With his first wife it cost him a riddle but with Delilah it cost him so much more.

The enemy will attack us where we fell before. We need to take note of the pattern in which we are tempted. Take note of the things that attract us. It may not be something as big as lust for the opposite sex. It could be something as simple as playing tennis. Whatever it is, if it draws you away from God, it is pretty enough to take you down.

Much love & God Bless

Morning Coffee 8/16/16 The Next Leak

Read Matt 4:3-11

8 Next the devil took him to the peak of a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. – Matthew 4:8 NLT

Hello family, Lately i have been mending and enforcing some week spots in my life. These were the normal situations. The enemy try and distract me from God. As of late it as not be working. Did that mean temptations went away no! The enemy tried to find another distraction to pull my attention.

When Jesus was tempted by the devil, he was tempted multiple times using different situations. Temptation is like water. It will not try and force it way through the hardest path. Water will alway take the path of least resistance. Thats why when you find a leak in your roof you don’t plug the hole the water is leaking out of. No! you open up some walls and trace the leak!

If you jut plug the hole you see eventually the water (temptation) will find another weak spot to drip through. Don’t try and patch your relationship with God. If he tells you to remove things that will cause a leak in your spiritual life. Go to the source not the symptom and remove it!

Much Love & God Bless
