Read Matthew 11:28-30

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. – Matthew 11:29 KJV

Hello family, “When “what u need to do” is “what u want to do” & “what u want to do” is what you’re doing, the results will be amazing.” That is the text message i received from Heart Ramsey’s daily inspirational message. It was right on point!

I will admit I’ve been half doing the things God has called me to, nobody to blame but my self!

When i was doing what i was supposed to be doing and i wanted to do it, Things did get awesome! The problem was i would stop. God would say to me “Dude! C’mon get back to this right here!” Potential is just that, potential! Potential does not move on its own. Potential is stored up power. If not used in the proper way it wont be fully impactful.

The yoke of walking out Gods will in your life is a lot easier than the yoke of doing it your way or half way. Because our way and half way will leave us the burden of regrets and we don’t need that. Let’s get on with it then! Get back in the ring and continue the good fight!

Play Video Before continuing

Read Deuteronomy 6:4-25

6 And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. 7 Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. 8 Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. – Deuteronomy 6:6-8 NLT

Hello family, I came across the opening video on Facebook, posted by a close sister in the Lord. It moved me deeply. Here is a mother singing a simple worship song to her baby. As you saw the baby was moved to tears by the song. What could cause this?

It is written on that child’s heart! It has been stitched in his young DNA! This was his worship, those tears were poured out in appreciation for his heavenly father. You may say, “How can this baby understand this song? He can’t even speak!” It is what his mother and father have implemented in him in his short time on this earth.

Those tears were not coincidence or accidental! Whatever thoughts the holy sprit spoke to this child impacted him! This is why Jesus tells us to have a heart like a child. We are open and free to receive the words and commands of our heavenly father!

That child like heart is still with in us ready to connect with God and become lost in Him. It’s in us, its just buried under our fears, pride, anger, and the distractions of life. He is a good good father! Full is song below

Morning Coffee Revisited 9/8/15 Marrying The Family

mc

1 “When the LORD your God brings you into the land you are about to enter and occupy, he will clear away many nations ahead of you: the Hittites, Girgashites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites. These seven nations are greater and more numerous than you. 2 When the LORD your God hands these nations over to you and you conquer them, you must completely destroy them. Make no treaties with them and show them no mercy. 3 You must not intermarry with them. Do not let your daughters and sons marry their sons and daughters, 4 for they will lead your children away from me to worship other gods. Then the anger of the LORD will burn against you, and he will quickly destroy you. – Deuteronomy 7:1-4 NLT

Hello family, as the nation of Israel prepared to move into the promise land God had some warnings for them especially. about marrying people from other nation. Before we continue lets be clear. IT IS A SPIRITUAL REASON GOD GAVE THEM THIS INSTRUCTION! IT IS NOT ABOUT SKIN COLOR OR ETHINC BACKGROUND!!!!

When a man and woman become husband and wife they bring with them their family heritage, family members, and everything else that is apart of there lives. You bring their life physical and spiritual into your life.  This is why God warns us  not to be unequally yoked. Just look at  king Solomon, he was the wisest of men but he  did not follow gods instruction about not marrying women from other nations. They all bought  there religions thus leading solomon then the nation away from God (1 Kings 11:2).

Do not use the excuse I’m  gonna lead him/her to Christ. Chances are he/she will draw you away. the marriage wont be fruitful the way god intended. I am being prepare  for my future wife. i will continue to wait until god brings us together.  During my first year in college  i had a girlfriend she said she was a “christian”. Looking back on it i see different.   She may have proclaimed to gave here life to christ (thats not for me to judge) but christ was no place in the relationship. i was drawn away from God.

After the break up i prayed this prayer, “lord the next woman to become my girlfriend let her be the one you have for me. If she is not the one you have destined me to spent the rest of my earthly life with don’t let the relationship prosper kill it move us away from each other.” And God has done that he has shut down every relationship that i tried to start (keyword I). Life is too short to be going through break up after break up. We don’t need to add to the brokenness.  if i can avoid staying out of the spiritual and emotional hospital i will do so.

And i am not talking down to anyone who has had multiple relationships. I know you have grown and learned just as i have about being equally yoked with another rooted strong believer.

When you marry it is more than just the person.

Much Love & God Bless

Only Silence

When words cannot be uttered.
Where body language cannot express
When we are left with our mind blown to pieces

There is only silence.

When it is out of our logical grasp.
When how and why are left unanswered.
When we don’t see how it came to be.

There is only silence and it is golden.

Because in our silence we are forced to be hushed
It makes us see that someone else is in control of the paintbrush.
So now we see our true status, our true position.

Passengers! Passengers that cannot handle the chaos of the ride!
So we must yield the wheel to the ONE more qualified, the ONE with the CDL.

We can’t handle it so we in hushed amazement look to the One who will drive us through what my seem like a living hell. The fires are apart of the hardening process leaving us finished with a flawless glaze.

So now there is only silence as we look back in hushed amazement wondering how HE got us through.

From my mouth there is only silence.

Morning Coffee Revisited 9/11/14 The Importance Of Obedience

mc

“Then Moses raised his hand and struck the rock twice with the staff, and water gushed out. So the entire community and their livestock drank their fill. But the  lord  said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not trust me enough to demonstrate my holiness to the people of Israel, you will not lead them into the land I am giving them!” (Numbers 20:11-12 NLT)

Here we are in Numbers chapter 20:11-12. Let me give you some back story before we continue. The children of Israel are camped out at kedish (in what is now modern day Syria) There was no water for them to drink and the people began to complain to Moses and Aaron, they wished they never left Egypt. So Moses and Aaron went and sought after God on what to do. The Lord told them to gather all the people take the staff and speak to the rock. (read Numbers 20:3-8)

Moses and Aaron let their frustration get the best of them, Moses took matters into his own hand and struck the rock instead of speaking to it as God instructed and Aaron went along with it. Their disobedience cost them the opportunity to go into the promise land.

There are three things we can take away from this. 1. Don’t let your emotions cause you to sin against God “And “don’t sin by letting anger control you.”  Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, for anger gives a foothold to the devil.” (Ephesians 4:26-27 NLT) Moses was pressured by the children of Israel and he allowed his frustration to cause him to sin. He acted out of himself instead of operating in the spirit of God.

  1. Remember who is in command. Yes you may be frustrated but God has given you specific instructions on how to handle the situation. God was merciful on Moses and Aaron, He still allowed water to flow from the rock despite their disobedience.
  2. Accountability. Aaron was with Moses when God gave them His instructions. He did not stop Moses from striking the rock; he went right along with his brother. He knew what God instructed them to do. But just like his brother he was caught up in the moment. He could have held his brother accountable. Aaron was Moses second in command. And he failed to keep his brother accountable to Gods instruction. “Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself. Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ.” (Galatians 6:1-2 NLT)

My brothers and my sisters do not let your emotions get the best of you and cause you to miss out on God’s blessing. Remember that God is the one leading you and guiding you and he gets all the glory, not us! And finally Keep your minds sober in the Lord so that when you see a fellow brother or sister doing wrong (especially one in leadership) going off in the wrong direction, you through God will help them see that what they are about to do is wrong so they can step back into the will of God. Remember the importance of obedience.

Morning Coffee 5/25/16 It All Works Together

the new mc banner

6 Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the LORD our maker, 7 for he is our God. We are the people he watches over, the flock under his care. If only you would listen to his voice today! – Psalm 95:6-7 NLT

Hello family, While I was on vacation, unplugged from the world I heard God louder and clearer than I ever heard him. One morning I was up at the breakfast buffet waiting for my mom and dad to arrive. God said to me “Why can’t you do this when you get back home? Why not keep getting up at sunrise with a cup of coffee or juice and talk with me?” I told God I would continue to this.

However sadly since I’ve been back from the cruise I have not resumed what was started. And every day God reminds me gently. Worship, prayer, fasting, and studying His word are all linked together. It all works together in our life you cannot have one without the other. Otherwise you will find your self running empty.

My vacation was a fast, it unplugged me from Facebook, games, tv, work, etc. so my mind was open more to Gods voice. Times of worship in song bought me into focus with Him. From there he would lead me to the scripture He wanted me to read. It all links together! We need the daily prayer time where we talk with God and LISTEN to Him. We need time of worship in song (not just on Sunday) to keep our focus on Him. And we need time when we unplug from the things of this world to reset and calibrate our life back inline with God. It all works together!

I will resume my sunrise time with God

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee Revisited: 12/2/15 A Sense Of Purpose

mc

29 For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. 30 And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave them his glory. – Romans 8:29-30 NLT

Hello family, When you got up this morning did you feel a sense of purpose? Did you feel that God had given you a custom mission for today that is a small piece in God’s ultimate purpose for your life? If you did that is great, if you didn’t here is a dose of encouragement for you.

All to often we look and wait for that moment when we “arrive”. We over look all the little steps that help us to the top of the mountain. To be honest the top of the mountain is not here on this earth, that mountain top is when he calls us home. So as long as we are drawing breath, there is more growing to be done. And there is yet a reason God has you still here. He called you before the foundations of the world. Everyday of your life was planned out, every person you will ever minister too was laid out.

The ministry that God has given you here on earth should never reach a point where you “arrive”. The moment you accept Christ as your Lord and savior, the foundation of your ministry was laid. And it should continue to be built upon until You complete all He (God) has set for you to do! There is something God wants you to do today, what is it? There is something God wants you to full fill tomorrow, what is it? Do you feel that sense of purpose now?

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee 5/23/16 Sin

the new mc banner

15 “If you love me, obey my commandments. – John 14:15 NLT

Hello family, when you read the title the typical thought process of listing the obvious sins probably started rolling through your head. Put that tape on pause for a second. Sin covers more that what is in the ten commandments.

Sin in hebrew means to miss the mark or go wrong. God plants an idea or dream in your mind, You feel the motivation to go forward and start putting this plan into action. But you don’t, you let it fade away. For whatever reason, doubt, fear, pride procrastination, etc you don’t act on the vision that God gave you. That is sin!

When we let these opportunities to please God pass by it is sin. We have missed the intended goal that God set for us. God plants Ideas (commands) in our minds every day sometime we don’t even realize it. It could be something simple as turning left instead of right. No matter how simple or insignificant it may seem, act on it. God saw it as a big enough deal to tell you that command. So it is a Big deal!

It’s not alway easy to do this but the benefits far out weigh the cons. This is God we are talking about here! We have nothing to lose! God does not have a down side

Much Love & God Bless
