Morning Coffee 4/1/16 Greater Than Your Self

Source: True Happiness

16 Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. 17 And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father. – Colossians 3:16-17 NLT

Hello family, The above picture is from a fellow writer (link to her blog at the bottom). When i read her post it resonated with me. We set goals that we want to accomplish in life. And we pour our time, skills, strength and sometimes blood sweat and tears to see these earthly goals accomplished. For a moment we fill accomplished but then we are looking for the next goal to fulfill us and bring us happiness.

The earthly goals we set usually involve mostly us as far as the human aspect goes. We pray to God to give us success. and (sometimes) He does. We Get that new car, that dream Job, That house. There is nothing wrong with aiming to achieve theses things. But if theses goals were set with selfish ambition they will only leave us looking for the next big thing.

However when our intentions are not set on our self, that house, that car, that Job will be turned into a blessing not just for you but for others as well. I will use my family for example. My mother loves to entertain, she loves to feed people. For ten years God had us (my father, my self, and my mother) in a two bedroom apartment. Yes it was nice but my mom could not bless people the way she desired. Two days before christmas 2014 we moved in to the house we waited for.

And ever since God has used this house to minister to others! Every major holiday (and little points in between) from New Years Day 2015 to Easter 2016 family friends and neighbors have been ministered to. When i think about that, I am filled with so much joy that God can use us, use a personal desire  to make an impact on others that is greater than ourselves. That is true fulfillment.

Morning Coffee 3/31/16 We Are All Intercessors

the new mc banner

5 So Peter was kept in prison, but earnest prayer for him was made to God by the church. – Acts 12:5 ESV.

Hello family,  We are all intercessors! God will call on us to intercede on someones behalf. Simply put interceding is coming to God in prayer on another persons behalf. Some make prayers of intercession out to be something reserved for elite “super christians” this is not the case. Paul at the beginning and/or end of his letters writes a prayer of intercession for the believers.

A prayer of intercession is not about showing how hard you can pray and how good you make your self look. It is the total opposite. When God calls you to pray on someones behalf, you completely put aside self and allow the holy spirt to speak through you. You may not know what to pray for let the holy spirt guide your words and heart.

Some time you may come to a point where you have no words all you can do is cry and moan. 26 And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. “27 And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will.” – Romans 8:26-27 NLT

Look through the scriptures there are plenty of examples of prayers of intercession. We are all called to intercede. Christ is the ultimate intercessor, He continues to intercede for us. We must follow as the holy spirt leads. So next time your church has intercessory prayer the whole church should be there. It is not some elite exclusive group of “super christians”! God is no respecter of person He will use any one of us any way he chooses.

Morning Coffee 3/30/16 Don’t Say What you Won’t Do!

the new mc banner

Read Daniel 4

25 You will be driven from human society, and you will live in the fields with the wild animals. You will eat grass like a cow, and you will be drenched with the dew of heaven. Seven periods of time will pass while you live this way, until you learn that the Most High rules over the kingdoms of the world and gives them to anyone he chooses. – Daniel 4:25 NLT

Hello family, We can get to comfortable during times of prosperity. When we do that we can begin think we got it all together and hard times won’t hit. This is when God reminds us who is really in charge.

I had a mini Nebuchadnezzar moment. Since i started my job in September of 2015 work hours have not been hard to come by. God blessed me with hours to work, dropped then in my lap. Didn’t have to break a sweat.

I didn’t have to stalk the system for hours to work like my coworkers. I figured that i would never have to stalk, I got it made! Well God showed we other wise. I got up on Tuesday morning expecting the normal availability of dropped hours from other coworkers, there were none! I spent from 7 am to 9:30 am glued to my phone refreshing the system stalking it for the hours i needed to work that day. When i did get the hours i needed The Holy spirit whispered “don’t say what you won’t do, I’m in charge!

“Great Are You Lord” from All Sons and Daughters LIVE (OFFICIAL)

If These Words…

If These words

If these words don’t take flight and up lift the souls that hear them,
there is no need for them.

If these words written with tears and heart poured out Don’t fill up a lost and thirsty soul,
there is no need to cry, there is no need pour out.

If these words fall on the spirt of the reader and don’t produce harvest,
there is no need to read them

If these words are not woven together with the LOVE of God
then these words are woven in vein. and will cause more pain.

If these words don’t pour out a praise

If these words are not saturated with God’s anointing
If these words are not inspired by the great I AM
Then there is no need for them.

I don’t write for fame, I don’t write for fortune.

I write because HE elevated me, HE lifted me!

I write because HE gave me a trillion chances.

I write because 2000 years ago HIS BLOOD was the
cleansing flow that redeemed me and continues to redeem me.
for the old man i used to be.

I write because i want to see others be pulled up from the mess they are in.

I do what i do because of what He did on the cross.

And if He is not in it, there is no point in doing it!!!!

In all i do….. Christ at the center

Read Luke 9:1-6

5 And if a town refuses to welcome you, shake its dust from your feet as you leave to show that you have abandoned those people to their fate.” – Luke 9:5 NLT

Hello family, We are simply messengers. God has given us different gifts. He works through us to deliver the good news. God will place and remove people from your sphere of influence according to his will.

When He does remove them don’t take it personally. It is nothing agains you! God saw that it was simply time for them to move forward. If a few member move on from your church it does not change the purpose God still has for you and your ministry.

Dont second guess What God has you doing just because some don’t receive it or a few of you subscribers unsubscribe. If you were off track God will let you know. This  text message I got the other day sums it up. “Don’t measure the effectiveness of your assignment or your gift by the response of those you are not called to. Now go be great!” – Pastor Heart Ramsey

Go be great family gods anointing is still on you!

Morning Coffee Revisited: 3/24/15 Born To Stand Out

“The angel of the lord appeared to Manoah’s wife and said, “Even though you have been unable to have children, you will soon become pregnant and give birth to a son. So be careful; you must not drink wine or any other alcoholic drink nor eat any forbidden food. You will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and his hair must never be cut. For he will be dedicated to God as a Nazirite from birth. He will begin to rescue Israel from the Philistines.” (Judges 13:3-5 NLT)

“Hannah was in deep anguish, crying bitterly as she prayed to the lord. And she made this vow: “O lord of Heaven’s Armies, if you will look upon my sorrow and answer my prayer and give me a son, then I will give him back to you. He will be yours for his entire lifetime, and as a sign that he has been dedicated to the lord, his hair will never be cut.” (1 Samuel 1:10-11 NLT)

Hello, family. Samson and Samuel were set apart. They could not do as everyone else was doing, God had a purpose for them. Why try to fit in when you were born to stand out? Don’t be ashamed of the call that God has placed on your life! Don’t try to fight it you won’t win. You may not be the most popular person in school, true friends will be far and few between. You may feel like you are missing out! I promise you, you are not missing out on anything! Follow the path God has called you to! This world has nothing for you! Worried about being lonely? God will place not just friends, but brothers and sisters in your life that will build you up and help you stay on the path God has called you! Don’t try to blend in when you were born to stand out!

Morning Coffee 3/24/16 Old Habits Die Hard

the new mc banner

Read 1 Corinthians 9:25-27

27 I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified. – 1 Corinthians 9:27 NLT

Hello family, As we grow in our walk with Christ we will experience growing pains. There will be some junk in out life that comes out easy but others that go kicking and screaming. And they may even try and creep back in.

That is why we discipline our selves to the word of God. Old habits die hard! Killing this sinful nature is a process. A process in which God uses our mess ups to show out the areas where we are weak at. He does this not to poke fun but to motivate us strengthen theses areas.

God will give us the strength, the holy Spirit will give us the action to take but we have to act on it! Unlike the training of the athletes that ends when they end there careers. Our training will continue as long as we are drawing breath. Each day we are growing stronger and closer to God. Only when He calls us home will our training be done.

Don’t grow weary keep running keep digging, keep walking in the footprints of christ. this road ain’t easy but it’s worth it!

Morning Coffee Revisited 3/23/15 Where Feet May Fail

“Teach me your ways, O Lord, that I may live according to your truth! Grant me purity of heart, so that I may honor you.” (Psalm 89:11 NLT)

Hello, family. There is a song called Oceans (Where Feet May Fail) by Hillsong United. This song has been my life song since the beginning of this year. When I first heard it I liked it but I didn’t fully understand it now I do! Right now, I am so far past where I would dare to go on my one I am totally leaning on Him. Here is my favorite lyrics from the song. “Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders Let me walk upon the waters wherever You would call me. Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander and my faith will be made stronger In the presence of my Savior!” It’s easy to stay at the water’s edge. It’s easy to sit in a boat with everyone else. When God calls you to the deep and you step out and you can’t feel the sand beneath your feet and dry land is a thousand miles way, that is where your faith is truly strengthened and you will see that God truly has you in his hand.

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee 3/22/16 Reality Checks

the new mc banner

Read Acts 9:1-8

4 He fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul! Saul! Why are you persecuting me?” 5 “Who are you, lord?” Saul asked. And the voice replied, “I am Jesus, the one you are persecuting! – Acts 9:4-5 NLT

Hello family, reality checks often abruptly interrupt our life leaving us feeling like the rug has been jerked from under our feet and more often than not, the reality check hurts. They may hurt but they are necessary.

Saul (soon to be Paul) thought he was doing God’s will, He thought inline with what God wanted him to do. Saul had so much conviction in eliminating all followers of Christ that Christ himself spoke directly and exclusively to Him. Saul’s encounter left him temporary blinded. I bet you he learned a few things in that time with out his sight.

Reality checks come with black or white choices (in some cases only one choice). There is no middle ground. You do what God is telling you to do or reap the consequences. And the consequences are life altering often affecting more than just you. The same is true for the benefits of taking heed to God’s reality check. Just look at the effect it had with Paul.

When we are obedient to the reality checks God sends our way, the person has an identity shift (see Gen 35:1-10) from that point on they no longer identify with their former self. God has placed them on a completely different path totally opposite of the one they were on.

Abandon what you used to do. This change in you life is critical more than you know! Don’t wait for a second chance more than likely there won’t be one, this is you opportunity take it by the horns!

Much Love & God Bless

Free Chapel – Moving Forward

Old Man Die!

Old man die, you are no longer needed.

who you are and what you do are no longer invited.

Stop trying to creep in the side, they way is blocked

and the gate is locked.

Old man, you are a stain on the garment of my life.

You have cost me much, far too much!

So now I must bleach you out, becoming nothing more than a

distant memory! Old man, I hate you! Away from me, slither your way to

the depths of the abyss! Trust me you wont be missed!

Redeemed Man of God, arise and take your place! This is your time!

Arise God has claimed you and said “You are Mine!”

The time is now for you to rise and be all God said you would be!

 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away;

behold, all things are become new. –  2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV
