15 Well then, since God’s grace has set us free from the law, does that mean we can go on sinning? Of course not! – Romans 6:15 NLT

Hello family, last night i read a devotion that really defined our freedom in Christ. When we come to Christ we receive freedom. This freedom is not for us to do whatever we want. This freedom enables us to submit to God and obey His commands. Before we follow Christ we did not know how to do right we were bound to sin.

Christ came in beat up the bad guys, broke the chains that kept us bound and told Us to follow Him to safety. Sometimes we (myself included) go back to the bad guys and put back on the very chains christ set us free from. Yes God does give us His grace but we are to take hold of that grace not misuse it!

We are now able to run after Christ Let us run with reckless abandon! We are now free to do so! God is now our master we now obey him! There is no natural ground!

Much Love & God Bless

  1. Why should anyone go back into sin after experiencing the love of Christ which He showers on us? The Christian is now in the debt to the one who broke the slave chains and made us His. Therefore, we must do as He says without fear of retaliation from our previous masters. The good news is that if we mess up (which we will), our Lord is a gracious Master and will lift us up and encourage us to try again.
