READ MATTHEW 9:35-38

38 So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.” – Matthew 9:38 NLT

Hello family, “You’re Lord of the harvest, and we worship you, we worship you this day You’re Lord of the harvest, and we worship you, we worship you this day!” That is the chorus to the song Lord of the harvest by Fred Hammond. I have sung this song many times. The lyrics didn’t make sense to me. Its a nice song but what was it saying?

Im sure God is the Lord of the harvest but what harvest? until now i thought it was a harvest of blessings for me(silly me). But that is not the case in Mathew chapter 9. The harvest Jesus speaks of is the harvest of lost souls in need of A savior. And still to this day the harvest is great but there are still few true workers.

Yes, Jesus one man one life, provided salvation for all the world. He never intended for it to be just Him preaching and healing and ministering to the lost, No! He said Go and make disciples of all nations” “Go to the very ends of the earth!” We plant the seed of light that is christ in a lost soul, the holy spirt waters that seed and that soul comes to christ. Then as they grow they plant seeds of light in other lost souls.

38 So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.” – Matthew 9:38 NLT

Much Love & God Bless
