READ 1 KINGS Chapter 19

13 When Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his cloak and went out and stood at the entrance of the cave. And a voice said, “What are you doing here, Elijah?” – 1 Kings 19:13 NLT

Hello family, Elijah got scared and ran for his life. He bailed out on the mission God had Him on. Jezebel threatened Elijah’s life and he bolted for safety without finding out what God wanted him to do next. I sure this mission was not over and God did have some instructions for Elijah.

God wanted Elijah to abide (which means to remain or continue according to webster’s dictionary) In Him and with for further instructions and not react (to behave or change in a particular way when something happens, is said, etc.)

God will let us run but He still will keep His protecting hand on us while we are running. Eventually we stop running long enough to hear God say, “What are you doing here, (your name)? And just like Elijah we give God a superficial answer. We are only able to see so much, our view is limited. All Elijah saw was the end of his life, But God saw beyond that and already had a solution in place.

However we run for our lives and God has to let us come to a place where we can’t run any more! It is there where we can finally hear Him and he will show us that we had and have no reason to bail out on the mission. we will discuss that in part 2 don’t miss it!

Much Love & God Bless
