2 complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. 3 Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. – Philippians 2:2-3 ESV
Hello family, as I am writing this devotion the college national football championship is being played out, Alabama Crimson tide Vs Clemson Tigers. Clemson is currently losing 21-17. As I was watching God asked me “Why is Clemson losing right now?” I didn’t have an answer for Him. God answered “they are losing because one or two team members are not doing their job!” There were a few plays where some players on Clemson that misread the play and that allowed Alabama to gain the advantage they now have.
“Do your Job!” – Bill Belichick That is what we need to do, we are apart of the body of Christ and we must all do our God given job. Think about it what if you came to church on Sunday and the pastor suddenly with little notice had to take care of an emergency situation, and God spoke to you to bring the message. But you decided not to because of fear, or pride. You are now hindering the flow of the Holy Spirt. God gave you a Job, a mission and you basically said, “No!”
That is not operating in unity in the body of Christ. So now your actions have a ripple effect and someone else has to pick up the ball you dropped. When we don’t operate in unity chaos can come in and wreak havoc. God will accomplish what He wants to accomplish even if He has to give your job to someone else (just look at king Saul).
Imagine how much more of an impact the body of Christ can have if we all work in unison if we all did our part! Dynamic we would be so much more dynamic! You can’t control what your teammate does but you can control what you do and that will effect your teammate directly or indirectly. Rise up and Do your job!
Much Love & God Bless
