“I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message. I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me. “I have given them the glory you gave me, so they may be one as we are one. I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me.” (John 17:20-23 NLT)
Hello family, This is a portion of Jesus’s prayer for the disciples before He is arrested really brings it home that He did it for you and me! I’m writing this devotion on Good Friday, the day of the crucifixion. I have been more reflective this year about what Christ did. It means more to me. Because he did it for me. Forgive me if I sound selfish but this is so very personal. That is the way we should view it! I am so grateful for what He has done! He allowed his body to be ripped apart, He allowed His dignity to be stomped on! He could have called the entire army of heaven to save Him. But He didn’t He took the brutal punishment for me, for my sins! All I can do is continue give Him my messed up filthy life! He interceded for Me!
Much Love & God Bless
