32 “Don’t worry about this Philistine,” David told Saul. “I’ll go fight him!” – 1 Samuel 17:32 NLT”

Hello family, The story of David vs. Goliath is often positioned as big dog vs. the underdog. Was david really the underdog in this situation? Was he really out classed by the 9ft goliath? I say no! take a look at verses 26, “26 David asked the soldiers standing nearby, “What will a man get for killing this Philistine and ending his defiance of Israel? Who is this pagan Philistine anyway, that he is allowed to defy the armies of the living God?” – 1 Samuel 17:26 NLT.  “Who is this pagan Philistine anyway, that he is allowed to defy the armies of the living God?”

What would cause David to make that statement? The entire army of Israel trembled before Goliath, but David saw an enemy that needed to be silenced. He didn’t go out with any armor, he didn’t question Goliath’s size. David simply took advantage of an opportunity to bring glory to God. David Knew who he belonged to, he knew who he belonged to. He said, “Who is this pagan Philistine anyway, that he is allowed to defy the armies of the living God?”

David knew where his identity was rooted. That is why he had such boldness not just when he fought Goliath all through out his life. He always remembered that His identity is found in God all mighty. So when the enemy attack know that God is with you. You are his child and he has your back. With God we are not under dogs, we are more than conquers in Jesus Christ!

Much Love & God Bless
