Morning Coffee Revisited: 3/10/15 Not Just Another Day!

mc

“This is the day the lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalm 118:24 NLT)

“Just another day at the office, another day another dollar, it’s just another day.” Hello family! These expressions are untrue! No day is “just another day!” Each day is a brand new day. Today has never happened before and will never happen again! Yes you may wake up and do the same routine but the day itself is different. There are things that God has planned for you today that tomorrow won’t have. I have gotten so wrapped up in the routine, that I didn’t take time to appreciate the subtle differences God had placed in my day! I had a “Just another day at the office” attitude! We cannot have that attitude! There are opportunities in each day, we must be receptive to those opportunities. They provide a chance to grow and know God more! If its raining outside rejoice and be glad in it! If it is -20 degrees rejoice and be glad in it! Whatever today brings, remember that God has made this day and he has ordained you another opportunity to bring glory to His name!

“This is the day the lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalm 118:24 NLT)

This is not just another day!

Morning Coffee 10/30/15 You! Part2

16 She tormented him with her nagging day after day until he was sick to death of it. 17 Finally, Samson shared his secret with her. “My hair has never been cut,” he confessed, “for I was dedicated to God as a Nazirite from birth. If my head were shaved, my strength would leave me, and I would become as weak as anyone else.” – Judges 16:16-17 NLT

Hello family, Samson had many enemies but only one could beat him. That enemy was not found on the out side, that enemy was deep on the inside. Sampson enemy was himself! Because he allowed Himself to be indulged in the wrong women that he had been warned about. the enemy with in bought him down. it was only Gods grace that he had one las victory.

The Enemy Within

The enemy within only seeks to satisfy its own twisted appetites. It does not care who it hurts it has no reverence for anything but the things of this carnal world. Many great men and women have been defeated by the enemy within. They were blind to its attacks or completely ignored the warning signs. And now they are mere shadows of who God destined them to be. But for you there is hope, this is your warning, this is your red alert! Do not deceive your self and think you can fight this enemy on your own strength. It is impossible! So turn you ears and hear the voice of the lord revealing the pit falls that await you.

3 For we who worship by the Spirit of God are the ones who are truly circumcised. We rely on what Christ Jesus has done for us. We put no confidence in human effort, – Philippians 3:3 NLT

17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! – Psalm 139:17 NKJV

Hello family, We are entering a new series its about you! We can be our best friend and our worst enemy. Sometime we don’t see how truly awesome God made us. While other time we get too up in our self and thing we got our self this far. we end up hurting our self because we think we are invincible. So lets begin!

One of A Kind

We sometimes take for granted how unbelievably unique each of us are. You may have someone that looks like you or acts like you, but they are not you! You may be a gifted writer, there are many gifted writers but none of them can write like you! Only you have your style that God gave you and you alone! Appreciate every aspect of how God made you! Because there is not going to be another you! Don’t be envious of the talent of others. See the talents and gifts God gave you and ask Him to grow them and help you mature in them, so you can reach you full potential! Love Who God made You to be!

Morning Coffee Revisited: 10/29/14 The God Element: Love!

cropped-mc.png

“If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it;  but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing. Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud  or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged.  It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out.  Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages  and special knowledge will become useless. But love will last forever! (1 Corinthians 14:3-8 NLT)

Hello Family! We are finishing up the God element series. We know that God is Our ultimate source, we know that God is omniscient (all knowing). We know our God is omnipresent (present everywhere at the same time) We our God is Omnipotent (all powerful) But above all that our God is LOVE! “Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God.  But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love. God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him.  This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.” (1 John 4:7-10 NLT)

Tell me when was the last time God reminded you of a past wrong you did? When has God told you I’m done with you, you are worthless! When was the last time God forced you to do what He wanted? When has He rejoiced in your pain? The answer is never! As I think back over my own life, I see the times only God was there to help, the times when I gave up on myself God was there to pick me up and push me forward. The times I sinned against him, even if it was a repeated sin. He never pointed a finger at me and said see, that’s what you get or I told you so! Yes, He bought His correction on me, but that correction was not condemning. That correction pushed me closer to Him! God is everything described in Corinthians 14:3-8.

If God did not love us, we would not be here, we would not experience the grace and mercy that has been and continues to be showered on us! If He did not love us He would not bring correction when we do wrong. We would not feel any conviction when we sinned. But since he dose Love us, we do feel His conviction when we do wrong, we do receive His correction that pushes us away from sin and closer to Him.

As Paul said in the opening scripture, he can give all he has to the poor and sacrifice his body if there is no love it will be for nothing. God sent His only son to be a sacrifice for our sins out of His Love for us. God brings correction out of his love for us! All that God does for us is based  from Love.

Now here is where you and I apply it! When someone offends you for the hundredth time, forgive them and don’t hold it over their head. Don’t get puffed up in yourself because you are not all that. Don’t give up on that lost friend or family member keep praying for them, keep showing them the love of God when you see them. Let’s do our best to act out of LOVE and not our flesh! If we don’t have LOVE, we don’t know God Because God is Love!

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee Revisited: 10/28/14 The God Element: Omnipotent!

cropped-mc.png

“On the day the  lord  gave the Israelites victory over the Amorites, Joshua prayed to the  lord  in front of all the people of Israel. He said,  “Let the sun stand still over Gibeon, and the moon over the valley of Aijalon.” So the sun stood still and the moon stayed in place until the nation of Israel had defeated its enemies. Is this event not recorded in  The Book of Jashar ? The sun stayed in the middle of the sky, and it did not set as on a normal day.    There has never been a day like this one before or since, when the  lord  answered such a prayer. Surely the  lord  fought for Israel that day! (Joshua 10:12-14 NLT)

Hello Family! We are continuing the God element series. We know that God is Our ultimate source, we know that God is omniscient (all knowing). We know our God is omnipresent (present everywhere at the same time) And finally our God is Omnipotent (all powerful)

There is nothing out of God’s control. In Job, when satan came from roaming the earth he had to get permission from God to do all that he did to Job. God put limits on what satan could do to Job. “The  Lord  said to Satan, “Very well, then, everything he has is in your power, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.”  Then Satan went out from the presence of the  Lord .” (Job 1:12 NIV)

God is not just sitting back letting things happen at random. No! He has His hand on everything good and bad. Absolutely nothing is out of his power! He knows all, He is everywhere, and is all powerful! There is nothing that God does not see, nothing that surprises Him, nothing that He can’t control. He Is God Almighty!

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee Revisited: 10/27/14 The God Element: Omnipresent!

cropped-mc.png

“I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence! If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the grave,  you are there. If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me. I could ask the darkness to hide me and the light around me to become night— but even in darkness I cannot hide from you. To you the night shines as bright as day. Darkness and light are the same to you.” (Psalm 139:7-12 NLT)

Hello Family! We are resuming the God element series. We know that God is Our ultimate source, we know that God is omniscient (all knowing). Our God is also omnipresent (present everywhere at the same time) As the psalm writer said we can never escape His presence.

God is in the room where you are right now, at the same time he is in my room right now as I write this devotion. Yes, He is on His throne in heaven, at the same time he is with us where ever we go! So when you are talking to God don’t feel as if He is a thousand miles away on some distant planet. He is always right there with you!

God transcends time! He is not confined to living one second at a time like we are. He is way beyond that, Right now He is in your tomorrow. God knew it even before the foundations of the world. We really can’t hide from God so why even try. There is nothing that escapes Him. He knows everything and He is everywhere at the same time. God is Awesome!

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee Revisited: 10/25/14 The God Element: Omniscient He Knows It All

cropped-mc.png

“There is a path before each person that seems right, but it ends in death.” (Proverbs 14:12 NLT)

“Laughter can conceal a heavy heart, but when the laughter ends, the grief remains.” (Proverbs 14:13 NLT)

Good Morning Family! We are continuing the series the God Element, Sometimes we (my self included) forget that God is omniscient (knows it all!) We sometimes get all wrapped up in our own thinking process, we call on this brother or sister, we read this book and go to this conference to try to solve an issue that is way out of our hands. And only after we tried everything and we are exhausted, do we look up and say “ok God you take this!” As we discussed in the last devotion God is the only Resource that won’t run out and that will always have the solution to our problems. I’m not shooting down any close brother or sister you call on as a prayer partner, nor am I saying that self help books and conferences are bad. What I am saying is before we go into our own thought process go to God first with our issues, before we run all over trying this and that to solve the problem. Our thinking is not His thinking.

God also knows when we are trying to hide our pain. We try to cover it up with a smile and by joking around. But when we get home there is no laughter or smiles. Because we have taken off the façade. We cannot fool God, our laughter and smile do not hide the pain in our hearts, God sees it and knows every bit of it! He reaches out his hand to heal, but we pull away, trying to heal on our own! Why? Why hide from him, let Him comfort you! Let God speak to your broken heart, you can’t fix it! And it will only get worse by holding it back from God! He is omniscient (He knows it all!) So run to Him with your broken heart, run to Him with your sins that echo condemnation in your head. God does not condemn you, He wants to restore you! So stop trying to do it on your own And let him do it! He is omniscient (He knows It all)

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee 10/24/14 The God Element: The Only Unlimited Resource

cropped-mc.png

“How sweet are your words to my taste,  sweeter than honey to my mouth!  I gain understanding from your precepts;  therefore I hate every wrong path.  Your word is a lamp for my feet,  a light on my path.  I have taken an oath and confirmed it,  that I will follow your righteous laws.” (Psalm 119:103-106 NIV)

Good Morning Family, God has us going into another series. This one is called the God Element. On the wall of my high school science class was a periodic table with all the elements known to man. We use most of theses elements as resources. There is one element and resource that has failed to be added to the table and that element is the God element. Without God none of us would exist  the elements and resources of this earth will run out but God will never end.  The writer of psalm 119 understood that God is the only unlimited resource.

Everything on this earth can and will fail. Gold and platinum will lose their luster even diamonds won’t last forever. But God’s word will stand forever. There is no problem or situation that God can’t get you through, the Bible God’s word will not cease to minister to you. We can gather all the great scholars of this world and study it for a thousand years and it will not stop revealing things to us!

God is unlimited, why would his word be limited. Our mortal minds are limited, it understands to a point. That’s why when God blows our mind; we can’t make sense of it! Some things are not meant for us to understand, we need to just trust God and know He has it all in his hands!

Follow God’s commands, go where he leads. “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” (Matthew 6:33 NIV)

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee 10/23/15 Why

mc

8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. – 1 Peter 5:8 NKJV

Hello family, I have a question for you as well as myself. Why do we wait till all hell is breaking loose before we look to dig deep into God? We all have done this at one point in our walk with God. Things are going good and the skies are clear, we tend to slack off we let our guard down a little bit we be come relaxed. And when an attack from the enemy comes we scramble for our armor and sword when we should have been ready for the attack ready to counter the enemy’s moves.

No place in the bible does it say we can relax and let our guard down. We are to be always on guard. The only time we can put our spiritual feet up is when our life on this earth is over and He calls us to eternal rest. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints– – Ephesians 6:17-18 NKJV

Morning Coffee 10/22/15 The Golden Carrot

mc

26 Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path. 27 Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil. – Proverbs 4:26-27 NLT

Hello family, if you read yesterdays devotion you already know about my job situation. Right now is a little challenging but God is guiding me through  it is teaching me to trust Him more and more.

During our time in the valley the enemy will come and dangle golden carrots to try and get us off the path God has us on.  These carrots will come in the form of a quick way out of the storm. But these carrots are not golden, on the inside they are rotten, They are made to pull us away from God. i had that carrot appear today. I saw another opportunity in the same position but working directly for apple instead of being contracted out. I began to investigate but the lord said Did I tell you to leave this position? Where are you going? You have all you asked for, you knew there would be tough times, i warned you there would be tough times here!”

God placed me on a path and i wanted to jump off and make my own. If i go against what God told me to do, i am disobeying Him and that is sin, which is evil! And we are to keep our feet from following evil! stay on the course God has you on don’t go in any other direction but where He leads you!

26 Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path. 27 Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil. – Proverbs 4:26-27 NLT                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Much Love & God Bless
