BIBLES!

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” – Colossians 3:16 NKJV

“I will delight myself in Your statutes; I will not forget Your word.” – Psalm 119:16 NKJV

Hello family,

What you have just watched is a group Chinese citizens getting a delivery of bibles. As I watched this video it convicted me. God asked me “how much do you love my word?’  Christians in the United States of America are soft and spoiled! We have so much access to God’s word its not even funny! But yet it (the bible) collects the most dust! While believers in countries with less freedom grab hold of The bible as if it were a brother, sister or close companion. We saw the video, some of those people were moved to tears even kissing the bible! They are hungry for the living word that is written in each of the sixty-six books. The bible is banned in an estimated 50+ countries, thats just the known countries.

What if you woke up tomorrow and the police were at your door demanding every bible you owned. What if bible gateway, blue letterer bible and every bible app and website was suddenly and permanently shut down ? What would you do then? Family the way this world is heading this is not impossible. Watch the video again then ask your self these two questions. Am i hungry for Gods Word? And Do I love Gods written Word? The bible is banned in an estimated 50+ countries How long will it be before the United States of America is added to the list. Don’t wait act now!

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee Revisited: 4/21/15 Receive His Love!

mc

“Once we, too, were foolish and disobedient. We were misled and became slaves to many lusts and pleasures. Our lives were full of evil and envy, and we hated each other. But When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit. He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior. Because of his grace he declared us righteous and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life.” (Titus 3:3-7 NLT)

Hello family, God Loves You! I put it in bold because It’s is something I needed to know and Receive! Over the past few days, I have allowed the enemy to keep my focus on the negative, on the things that I am not doing, the things I failed to do each day. I had allowed the lies to take root. God had been showing signs and messages that He loved me and that he was proud of the progress I had made. But I did not see that all I saw was the failure. I had set a standard in my mind that if I didn’t do a set amount of work that God was not pleased with me. God does not base His love on the amount of work I do or how good I do it. If it was we all be in deep trouble. We are going to have bad days, bad weeks, and even bad months. We can’t allow the lies of the enemy to condemns and make us feel defeated. We are not defeated so get up brush off the dust and know God Loves you! Just open your arms and heart and receive His Love God will never stop loving you! He is rooting for you in the smallest good thing you do for Him and He is proud of you! Receive His Love!

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee Revisited: 12/3/14 Eyes On The Prize (Five Crowns): Crown Of Glory

cropped-mc.png

Hello Family! We are wrapping up our series on the five crowns that await us in eternity! The next crown is a crown of Glory.

“And now, a word to you who are elders in the churches. I, too, am an elder and a witness to the sufferings of Christ. And I, too, will share in his glory when he is revealed to the whole world. As a fellow elder, I appeal to you:  Care for the flock that God has entrusted to you. Watch over it willingly, not grudgingly—not for what you will get out of it, but because you are eager to serve God.  Don’t lord it over the people assigned to your care, but lead them by your own good example.  And when the Great Shepherd appears, you will receive a crown of never-ending glory and honor.” (1 Peter 5:1-4 NLT)

Christian leaders! There is a crown for you, be diligent and care for the people God has placed under your leadership. Teach and lead with your whole heart! Stay submitted to God as Christ did, lead with not just with your mouth but with your life as well. God has placed you in a position of leadership, you have people following you as you follow Christ, do not lead them astray but lead them to closer and closer to Christ. God is watching how you lead. Your crown of glory is waiting for you!

The five crowns we have just covered are crowns that will last forever. When Christ comes back for us He will reward us according to what we have done. Just as athletes are awarded for their race, we will be rewarded for our pursuit of Christ. This is not a judgment for the sins we committed but it is a reward ceremony (think about the Olympic medal ceremony) for those of us who ran this race with integrity, for those of us who faithfully served Christ and did not fall away. So go and fight the good fight and aim for your crowns in eternity!!!!

“I am coming soon.  Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take away your crown.” (Revelation 3:11 NLT)

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee Revisited: 12/2/14 Eyes On The Prize (Five Crowns): Crown Of Life

cropped-mc.png

Hello Family! We are continuing our series on the five crowns that await us in eternity! The next crown is a crown of Life.

“Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy.  For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.  So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.” (James 1:2-4 NLT)

“God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.” (James 1:12NLT)

Stand and endure my brothers and sisters. Whether you are 18 or 118, temptations will come and continue to come until we are called home. This is no sprint but a marathon, so don’t be surprised we you get through one temptation and another is right behind it. Sometimes you may feel like giving up (I feel like that sometimes!) But we cannot quit, we have come too far to give up. What benefit is there in turning your back on perusing Christ? There is none! You are not alone in your battles, I am with you and so are many other believers around the world! They are also striving for their crown of life!

I want you to do something; I am doing this as well. Erase the word quit from your vocabulary. We do not quit, we keep going until God says come home. Hold fast to your faith in Christ and keep your eyes on Him. NEVER QUIT! NEVER TAP OUT! A crown of Life is waiting in eternity, aim for it!

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee Revisited 12/1/14 Eyes On The Prize (Five Crowns): Crown Of Righteousness

cropped-mc.png

Hello Family! We are continuing our series on the five crowns that await us in eternity! The next crown is a crown of Righteousness.

“For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear.  They will reject the truth and chase after myths. But you should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don’t be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry God has given you. As for me, my life has already been poured out as an offering to God. The time of my death is near.  I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful.  And now the prize awaits me—the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing.” ( 2 Timothy 4:3-8 NLT)

We must stay the course, we be diligent in our pursuit after God. Other false teachings will arise, “feel good” messages will try to shift our focus. But we must not allow it to pull us away. Times of suffering are coming, but our suffering will not be in vain. We will suffer for the Gospel; we will be bringing glory to God. We should look forward to Christ coming. This is our hope, this is why we keep the faith, and this is what kept Paul so intently focused on doing work for the kingdom of God.

Do you want a crown of righteousness? I know I do. Family I am speaking to myself as well as you. So do not think that I am just pointing fingers, Even as I write, I feel God speaking to me and challenging me to stay on the narrow path and to dig deeper in Him. The crown of righteousness is not earned by perfection, but by continuously perusing after God and His will. The crown of righteousness is given to those who faithfully carried out their work for the Kingdom of God. Our focus is Christ, He is our example that we follow. Let’s go and fight the good fight, being diligent in all God gives us to do. Then we will hear “Well done good and faithful servant.” Aim for your crown of righteousness.

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee Revisited11/30/14 Eyes On The Prize (Five Crowns): Crown Of Rejoicing

cropped-mc.png

Hello Family! We are continuing our series on the five crowns that await us in eternity! The next crown is a crown of rejoicing.

” Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stay true to the Lord. I love you and long to see you, dear friends, for you are my joy and the crown I receive for my work.” (Philippians 4:1 NLT)

“Dear brothers and sisters, after we were separated from you for a little while (though our hearts never left you), we tried very hard to come back because of our intense longing to see you again.  We wanted very much to come to you, and I, Paul, tried again and again, but Satan prevented us.  After all, what gives us hope and joy, and what will be our proud reward and crown as we stand before our Lord Jesus when he returns? It is you!  Yes, you are our pride and joy.” (1 Thessalonians 4:17-20 NLT)

The gifts that God gives us are not for ourselves, the ministries (big or small) that God has placed us in are not just for ourselves. The gifts God gives us and ministries He places us in are for the benefit of others. No matter what our gifts are, or how big or small our ministry is, the ultimate goal should be to draw people to Christ, to bring them into the Kingdome of God. My mom is a preschool teacher, yes she teaches the mandatory curriculum but she also uses the short time she has these children to teach them to talk to God, that’s how they begin each day. She is planting seed in them my mom is not on a big pulpit preaching a sermon.  She is operating in the ministry God gave her, leading children to Christ. The lessons she taught will lay a Godly foundation in that child.  She is only adding to her crown of rejoicing.

Think about the parable of the talents (see Matthew 25:14-30). The good servants took what they were given then they multiplied it. They had fruit from their labor. And the master blessed them. But the lazy servant was cast out. You may not be a corner soap box preacher; you don’t have to be to draw people to Christ. Operate in the gifts and ministries god gave you. Be open and be ready for Him to use you. And when it is time for you to enter eternity, you will see all the lives that you impacted. So be open and eager to be used by God to minister to someone. Aim to take as many souls to heaven as you can. Don’t show up in heaven by yourself.

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee Revisited 11/29/14 Eyes On The Prize (Five Crowns): Crown Of Victory

cropped-mc.png

Hello Family! We are out of one series and into another. So put your spiritual ears and on, you favorite beverage and lets dive into what God has for us!

There are rewards (crowns) waiting for us in eternity. But they are not given out freely. We must fulfill the requirements for these crowns. Just as the great athletes train intensively to win the medals, it is the same with us. We must train and condition ourselves in order to receive these crowns.

“Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win!  All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize.  So I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing.  I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified.” (1 Corinthians 9:24-27 NLT)

We are just passing through this world but while we are passing through, we are called to follow the example that Christ set for us. Yes this will require 100% of us, yes we will have to give up things we hold dear and there will be love ones that are close to us that won’t support us as we follow Christ. We will have to deny our self pleasures of this world. Athletes don’t live the life we live, they have a disciplined regiment. If they want to get that championship ring they must go through the process that will get them that ring. They don’t come home from a 9 to 5 job there are many months spent away from family and friends, all to gain that prize that they so desire.

Now apply this to our life. There are many temptations that will call for our attention, and our fleshly body will desire these things but they will not benefit us in our spiritual walk. Therefore we must deny our self these things. Whatever that thing is that pulls on you and draws you away from God, lust not just sexual lust but lust after the things of this world, lying, shopping sprees, gossiping, alcoholic drink etc  the list can go on. Our goal should be placed in eternity and not hear on this earth. When we take a stand against those things that so easily brings us down, we will be striving toward that crown of victory. As Paul said these crowns will never fade.

Family, aim for your crown of victory! Cut loose and take a stand against whatever sin tempts you, no it won’t be easy. But you can stand when that temptation comes knocking. Tame your body and mind. Run with endurance for your crown of Victory!

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee Revisited11/14/14 Disciplined

mc

“All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize.  So I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing.  I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified.” (1 Corinthians 9:25-17 NLT)

Good day family! Being a follower of Christ requires us to be disciplined. We must have self control. We cannot go around and do has we please. We must live submitted to the will of God.

Being disciplined we will have to train our self with the word of God. As Paul said, athletes train themselves to win a prize. Well, our prize is dwelling with God for all eternity. So every day we wake let’s put down any reckless behavior. “So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world.  Because of these sins, the anger of God is coming.    You used to do these things when your life was still part of this world.  But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language.  Don’t lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds.  Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him.” (Colossians 3:5-10 NLT)

Jealousy, Selfishness, And Pride (Part 3) (Audio)

“[Psa 101:5 NLT] 5 I will not tolerate people who slander their neighbors. I will not endure conceit and pride.

Pride

Hello family, we are continuing our  series Jealousy, Selfishness, And Pride. If you are just joining us please click the link below and read yesterday’s devotion before reading this one.

Pride, the final link in the chain. God showed me my pride the source of it all. Because I was thinking only of myself. That caused me to be jealous because i thought of my self higher than my brother. And that is wrong! My thoughts were not good you don’t have to speak a work to slander you neighbor. you thoughts are just as bad. And god will not have any of that!

You would not be who you are without God so calm yourself down. Rejoice in God using your brother or sister. Pride if not eliminated from the start will grow and sprout other issues. go to God and ask him to help you deal with it!

Jealousy, Selfishness, And Pride (Part 2)

“If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom. 14 But if you are bitterly jealous and there is selfish ambition in your heart, don’t cover up the truth with boasting and lying. 15 For jealousy and selfishness are not God’s kind of wisdom. Such things are earthly, unspiritual, and demonic. 16 For wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind..” (James 3:13-16 NLT)

Selfishness

Hello family, we are continuing our  series Jealousy, Selfishness, And Pride. If you are just joining us please click the link below and read yesterday’s devotion before reading this one.

Selfishness is linked with jealousy. When we are jealous we are thinking about us! I was thinking about me! I wanted what that other brother had for myself. God uses whom ever he wants to use. it he picks someone else other than you, don’t catch a fit! There is a reason God Choose to use that other brother or sister. If any thing we should be happy, they are on the same team, they are working with you in the kingdom of God. So why despise your teammate! they are doing their part In the body of Christ! Stay in your lane and do what God has called you to do!

STOP the selfishness! Who are you? If God had not breathed breath into you, you would not be here! Don’t forget who gives you the ability to breathe. You are not all that and a bag of chips! Humble yourself before God!
