“We proclaim to you the one who existed from the beginning, whom we have heard and seen. We saw him with our own eyes and touched him with our own hands. He is the Word of life. This one who is life itself was revealed to us, and we have seen him. And now we testify and proclaim to you that he is the one who is eternal life.” (1 John 1:1-2 NLT)
Hello Family, I woke up a few days ago and opened up the Bible app on my phone to read the scripture of the day but instead it opened to first John, I Read the first two verses and it really impacted me especially verse two! “This one who is life itself was revealed to us, and we have seen him. And now we testify and proclaim to you that he is the one who is eternal life.” (1 John 1:2 NLT)
Whoever John was writing to, God showed John that this group of believers need some reaffirmation on who Christ is. “This one who is life itself was revealed to us” these words ring so loudly within my heart. Christ is life its self! I don’t know if it impacts you the same way, but you cannot deny this!
Family, you cannot give what you don’t have! Christ came to give us life, not Just life but life more abundantly! You know what that means? It mean you won’t be just hanging by a thread Christ is more than a thread! When everything seems to be falling apart you will be able to stand not saying it will be easy, but you will be able to stand because your roots are in Christ.
“But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.” (Jeremiah 17:7-8 NLT)
Part 2 tomorrow!
Much Love & God Bless
