Morning Coffee 7/5/15 Just Chill

“Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” (Matthew 11:29-30 NLT)

Hello, family, yes we can get deep with this scripture. But let us look at the practical side! We plan and put stuff together and we want it to turn out a certain way. However in the planning stages God begins to move shift things around. Because we are not in control and we can’t see what is happening, we put on our hardhat and try to remodel and reconfigure what God is doing!

We put a yoke on ourselves that God never intended to be on us. He is saying “ I understand you have these plans in place, I understand you want to see it look like this But I got something for you! Just stop trying to fix it! Do as I say and in the end you will be at peace and you will find true enjoyment! My instruction is better than your instruction!” So take a step back and stop trying to be the head chef when God is say “just cut the onions, Ill handle the  rest “

Much Love & God Bless

  1. Love, love, love this! Especially the part about sticking to cutting the onions! No, we are not Head Chef. And cutting onions will sometimes cause us to cry, but that’s our assigned task, isn’t it? We may as well do it with joy and wait to see and taste the final banquet He is preparing! 🙂
