“Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. 9 Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses so that the power of Christ can work through me. 10 That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” (2 Corinthians 12:8-10 NLT)
Hello family, if you have an attitude of ‘look at me see how good I am!” Prepare to be humbled. We do not put reliance on our self but in reliance in God. Search through the bible and you will find example after example of God using people who did not look inward for their strength but looked upwards.
When we get full of ourselves there is no room for God. Why? Because our mind is set on us and the resources within. Look at the story of Gideon, God used Gideon and 300 men to defeat an army in the thousands. “The Lord said to Gideon, “You have too many warriors with you. If I let all of you fight the Midianites, the Israelites will boast to me that they saved themselves by their own strength.” (Judges 7:2 NLT)
When God starts emptying you don’t fight to hold on to what He is taking away. If you want to be effective in God’s kingdom, it will require the emptying of yourself!
Much Love & God Bless
