“If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth. But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.” (1 John 1:8-9 NLT)
Guilt! That emotion and state of mind we get when we have done something wrong. This can cause us to draw closer to God or it can turn into condemnation and cause us to retreat into seclusion. But we have been redeemed by Christ who is the sacrifice for our sins so we should not sink into condemnation but rise with a repentant heart, wanting all the more to chase after God. “So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.” (Romans 8:1-2 NLT)
Do not sink into condemnation! Your father in heaven is ready and willing to forgive whatever you have done. Let me warn you! Do not take advantage of God’s mercy and think it is a license to keep sinning. Sin has its consequences! Don’t purposefully go back to where God brought you from! Repent and rise up and peruse God even more!
Much Love & God Bless
