Read proverbs chapter 7

”So listen to me, my sons, and pay attention to my words. Don’t let your hearts stray away toward her. Don’t wander down her wayward path. For she has been the ruin of many; many men have been her victims. Her house is the road to the grave. Her bedroom is the den of death.” (Proverbs 7:24-27 NLT)

Hello family! We are wrapping up our series on Proverbs chapter seven. If you have not read parts one and two, go back and read them before you read this. Grab a cup of coffee and let’s go.

The writer finishes up the chapter by giving us a final warning. He has equipped us with what we need to keep our lives pure. He then informs us the places where the immoral woman dwells. And now we are being warned of the consequences of those who do follow immorality. I sure most of us can recall the Penn state scandal involving Jerry Sandusky. The same thing can happen to anyone of us. It all starts with one moment of compromise!  Immorality talks a sweet game but in the end it leads to destruction. Don’t be swayed by its sweet talk keep your mind firmly planted in God! Don’t be led by your emotion or feeling but be led by the all-knowing spirit of God.

Much Love & God Bless

Words Of Worship: Opportunities! by APoetsHeart51

Opportunities!

“This is the day the lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.”

Lord you ordained this day!

You breathed your breath into my body and gave life to me today!

Today is not just another day! Its is not another day at the office!

New opportunities await me! I open my eye’s and see another chance

I open my eye’s and see another chance to give you glory!

Your Word says to rejoice when I encounter trials of many kinds.

That may be easier said than done but it will be done!

With your grace and power, it will be done!

“This is the day the lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.”

I will rejoice because today has opportunities that no other day has in it!

Read proverbs chapter 7

”While I was at the window of my house, looking through the curtain, I saw some naive young men, and one in particular who lacked common sense. He was crossing the street near the house of an immoral woman, strolling down the path by her house. It was at twilight, in the evening, as deep darkness fell. The woman approached him, seductively dressed and sly of heart.” (Proverbs 7:6-10 NLT)

Hello family. We are continuing our series on Proverbs chapter seven If you have not read part one go back and read it then come back to this part. The writer takes us into an illustration of how young men are taken down by the lust for the immoral woman (ladies you can pull from this too).

Mistake number one, the young man lacked common sense. God has given us His word, His Commands, His wisdom. We have to take it and apply it! I took Spanish in high school, I did the homework, took the test, and heard the teacher teach the lesson. Ten years later I am no better off than I was before I took Spanish. Some of my classmates can have a full conversation in Spanish. Why? Because they applied and kept applying the knowledge that was given to them.

Apply God’s wisdom to your life!

Mistake number two, the young man went near the House of the immoral woman! Translation! He put himself in a position for failure. Know the areas you are weak in! Don’t leave yourself vulnerable! Don’t be alone in the break room with the cute new co-worker! If he/she flirts with you, don’t flirt back! If temptation hits you the hardest when you alone on the laptop at 11 pm, shut it down at 10 pm. Don’t be alone in your office! Don’t put yourself in a position to fail!

Mistake number three (strike out!) He listened to the temptation! He allowed himself to be seduced. That woman with all the curves in the right spots will take you out because she found your soft spot. He/she may talk sweet, but the end is bitter! Don’t get caught up! God’s instruction is within easy reach! Study and apply it! Listen to the tug of the holy spirit, He is tugging for a reason! Heed the warning don’t go where there is trouble!

Part 3 tomorrow.

Read proverbs chapter 7

”Follow my advice, my son; always treasure my commands. Obey my commands and live! Guard my instructions as you guard your own eyes. Tie them on your fingers as a reminder. Write them deep within your heart. Love wisdom like a sister; make insight a beloved member of your family. Let them protect you from an affair with an immoral woman, from listening to the flattery of a promiscuous woman.” (Proverbs 7:1-5 NLT)

Hello family. Proverbs chapter seven definitely applies to today’s culture. Ladies don’t dismiss this you can take from this as well the are some immoral men out there too, it’s not just men who are caught up in sexual addiction. So you read this as well. We will be here for the next few days.

Proverbs seven first gives us the remedy to avoid the immoral woman. Keep Gods word close to you, value His instruction as gold! Take the wisdom He gives us and make it like a member of you family. They will be our guard so we will be able to avoid the traps that look so enticing but are so deadly. When we keep Gods commands close to our heart we can hear the warnings of the holy spirit and avoid the trap.

Part 2 tomorrow!

Morning Coffee 2/25/15 Encourage!

mc

“So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.” (1 Thessalonians 5:11)

Hello family. The bible is full of encouragement. From beginning to end we can find scripture after scripture of encouragement. The apostle Paul was always encouraging! In each letter he wrote we can find encouragement of some form. Jesus encouraged people! He wants us to be strong in our faith in Him. So with all this encouragement we should be encouraged. We should be ready to encourage others who have gotten off track or are losing faith. Be encouraged and encouraging! Draw People closer to Christ!

Morning Coffee 2/24/15 It’s Not Hard To Talk To God

mc

“O  lord, hear me as I pray; pay attention to my groaning. Listen to my cry for help, my King and my God, for I pray to no one but you.” (Psalm 5:1-2 NLT)

“I will praise you, lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done. I will be filled with joy because of you. I will sing praises to your name, O Most High.” (Psalm 9:1-2 NLT)

“O  lord, why do you stand so far away? Why do you hide when I am in trouble?” (Psalm 10:1 NLT)

Hello family. King David talked to God a lot! We can see this from all the psalms he wrote. David didn’t just write these psalms because it sounded nice! No! He wrote from his heart, he wrote out of his emotion! There were times he wrote out of joy (Psalm 9), times he wrote out of distress (Psalm 10 and 5). These Psalms are direct communication with God. David let his emotion show, but he always did it with reverence to God.

If we are upset it is ok to let God know. If we are sad we are free to tell God. In our emotion, we must still reverence God. He is our father and he cares about all that affects us. God has his ear open listening for His children. Just as simply as a child calls on their earthly father, we too can call on God our heavenly Father.

It is not hard to talk to God.

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee 2/23/15 Psalm 1: Under The Shelter Of The Almighty pt2

mc

“1 Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. 2 But they delight in the law of the lord, meditating on it day and night. 3 They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do. 4 But not the wicked! They are like worthless chaff, scattered by the wind. 5 They will be condemned at the time of judgment. Sinners will have no place among the godly. 6 For the lord watches over the path of the godly, but the path of the wicked leads to destruction.” (Psalm 1 NLT)

Hello family! We are in the second  and last part of our Psalm 1 series. Today we will cover verses four through six.

“But not the wicked! They are like worthless chaff, scattered by the wind. They will be condemned at the time of judgment. Sinners will have no place among the godly. For the lord watches over the path of the godly, but the path of the wicked leads to destruction.” (Psalm 1:4-6 NLT)

For those who pattern themselves after this world, they will meet a tragic end. They are fruitless and nothing good comes from them. And because they did not seek after the kingdom of God they will not prosper in the end. Family, continue to seek after God. Yes you may be going through a tough time but you will survive it! Because you are rooted in God and not this world! Keep focused on God!

Morning Coffee 2/22/15 Psalm 1: Under The Shelter Of The Almighty pt1

“1 Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. 2 But they delight in the law of the lord, meditating on it day and night. 3 They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season.

but the path of the wicked leads to destruction.” (Psalm 1 NLT)

Hello family! For the next two days we will be in Psalm 1. I read it this morning and it impacted me in a different way. Right now I am really learning to trust God with the unseen things in my life. This Psalm really encouraged me. Today we will cover verses one through three. I pray this blesses you.

Family, we have a reason to be joyful! We do not follow the patterns of this carnal world. But we submit ourselves to a higher authority. Our fulfillment comes from studying meditating on the word of God. We will not draw from another source because we won’t get the spiritual nourishment we need. When we stay in line with God, we won’t lack. All we put our hands to will prosper. This does not mean life will be a bed of roses. That is not what verse three is communicating! What it is saying is this; we will be fruitful in all we do. Why? Because we will have studied and meditated on God’s word. And when we do this we are able to understand and hear God better. The more you spend time with someone the better you know them!

When trials come along, they won’t destroy us, we may have a few battle scares but we will still be standing. Last night we had freezing rain and Ice was coating the trees. This morning there were three large branches that fell off the pine trees in our backyard. The trees are still standing they just lost some branches. But on the other side of the house a much shorter fir tree had completely toppled over roots and all over apart of our driveway. When we follow God we will be like the pine tree that lost a few branches but is still standing. When our sources is the world we will end up like the fir tree that toppled over from lack of good soil.

Part 2 coming tomorrow don’t miss it!
