Morning Coffee 12/31/14 Eagles Wings! (Part2)

mc

“Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding. He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:28-31 NLT)

Hello family! Here we have the prophet Isaiah speaking to the people of Israel who are in captivity in Babylon. God uses Isaiah to encourage the people to turn back to Him for He is there ultimate source.

If you were to go back in time to January of 2014 and tell me that I would be writing a daily devotional and that it will have a WordPress blog, I would have looked at you like you had two heads! I am definitely ending this year stronger than I started it! God has elevated me far beyond my expectations! His plan blew my plan out the water. Going into 2015 things are only going to progress even more! Follow God family, He won’t lead you wrong! There will be test and trials along the way but hold on to God He will get you through!

Happy New Year Family!!!

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee 12/29/14 Life And Death! (No Take Back)

mc

“A man’s [moral] self shall be filled with the fruit of his mouth; and with the consequence of his words he must be satisfied [whether good or evil].  Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life]. [Matt. 12:37.] (Proverbs 18:20-21 AMP)

Sometimes we say words that we do not understand the full reproductions that follow. Our words have power and what we say puts things to action in the spirit realm. We really can’t take back the words we speak. Once we speak them they start taking action. God spoke this world into existence and we are made in His image. Therefore our words good or bad will produce a result! Please! Please let’s think and be careful about the words we speak you can’t take it back!

Morning Coffee 12/28/14 New Wine (Bye Bye Heartless Tradition)

mc

“Once when John’s disciples and the Pharisees were fasting, some people came to Jesus and asked, “Why don’t your disciples fast like John’s disciples and the Pharisees do?” Jesus replied, “Do wedding guests fast while celebrating with the groom? Of course not. They can’t fast while the groom is with them.    But someday the groom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast. “Besides, who would patch old clothing with new cloth? For the new patch would shrink and rip away from the old cloth, leaving an even bigger tear than before. “And no one puts new wine into old wineskins. For the wine would burst the wineskins, and the wine and the skins would both be lost. New wine calls for new wineskins.” (Mark 2:18-22 NLT)

Good day family! Christ came to establish a new covenant! So we would not be stuck in the regiment of the law. The Pharisees were fasting out of tradition and not out of the heart. The disciples are leaning from Christ and what they are learning is new to them it’s a fresh wind in their sails. Why go back to heartless tradition when they have Christ pouring newness into them. You see fasting back then was done out of sorrow not out of happiness. So the disciples have no reason to fast because they are not grieving! They are learning a new Covenant that puts joy in there heart! When we fast now it is not out of grief but because we want to draw closer to God!

Family, we cannot grow stagnant. We must always be ready and willing to keep growing in Christ. As He takes us to newer and higher levels we will have to grow and adapt with each move. We can get so comfortable where we are that we can miss out on the awesome things that God wants to give us. Don’t harden up and become so set in your ways that you can’t move to a new level!

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee 12/27/14 It Will Come In Due Time

mc

“There is a time for everything,  and a season for every activity under the heavens:     a time to be born and a time to die,  a time to plant and a time to uproot,     a time to kill and a time to heal,  a time to tear down and a time to build,     a time to weep and a time to laugh,  a time to mourn and a time to dance,     a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,  a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,     a time to search and a time to give up,  a time to keep and a time to throw away,     a time to tear and a time to mend,  a time to be silent and a time to speak,     a time to love and a time to hate,  a time for war and a time for peace.” (Ecclesiastes 3;1-8 NIV)

Hello family! I am back with a fresh brew of morning coffee. My family and I have moved to our new home and I am now writing to you from my new room/office which I call Legacy 51.

This house that God has blessed us with has been nine years in the making. This home was a desire of my mom since the first day we moved to Georgia in 2005. My dad could not make the move with us until his job transferred him. In 2008 he was transferred down (that is a testimony in itself!) Our family was reunited but we lacked the true home my mom desired. For nine years 2005-2014 we lived in a two bedroom apartment. It was nice, great neighborhood but we knew God had greater for us. And finally we have it!

This move is so much more than just getting a house. It getting a Home, It a family that was once broken now made whole, It each of us operating in and growing in the ministries God has given us. There is so much more to this story that I don’t have time to tell. Take this one thing from this testimony. That dream, that hope, that thing that God told you that you will have. Its coming it has a set time to happen. Until it happens stay faithful, keep believing for it. Don’t let doubt cause you to be disobedient. It Will Come In Due Time.

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee Re-Post 11/3/14 I’ll Blow Your Mind!

cropped-mc.png

Good Morning Family. All through the bible, we can find ordinary and people anointed and called to do extraordinary things. We see a humble shepherd boy become a mighty warrior and king. Or two spies who saw that it was time to take the Promised Land.  Forty years later they lead the Israelites into it! We see Gideon a man with low self-esteem and confidence lead the original 300 to victory!

It does not matter what your background or nationality is. God can use you in ways you never imagined. So don’t discount yourself. “But the  lord  said to Samuel, “Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The  lord  doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the  lord  looks at the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7 NLT)

Morning Coffee Re-Post: 8/31/14    Go And Sin No More.

mc

“Jesus returned to the Mount of Olives, but early the next morning he was back again at the Temple. A crowd soon gathered, and he sat down and taught them.  As he was speaking, the teachers of religious law and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in the act of adultery. They put her in front of the crowd. “Teacher,” they said to Jesus, “this woman was caught in the act of adultery.  The law of Moses says to stone her. What do you say?” They were trying to trap him into saying something they could use against him, but Jesus stooped down and wrote in the dust with his finger.  They kept demanding an answer, so he stood up again and said,  “All right, but let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone!”    Then he stooped down again and wrote in the dust. When the accusers heard this, they slipped away one by one, beginning with the oldest, until only Jesus was left in the middle of the crowd with the woman.  Then Jesus stood up again and said to the woman,  “Where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?” “No, Lord,” she said. And Jesus said, “Neither do I. Go and sin no more.” (John 8:1-11 NLT)

Christ was sent to be the atonement for our sins, when we accepted Him into our life He saved us from a life style that would lead us to destruction. I know I would not be here if Jesus had not rescued me from my sin.

When Jesus told the woman “sin no more,” He was telling her not to go back to the sinful life style she was living.  This is a warning not just to the woman, but to us as well. Christ blood washed us clean and redeemed us. Don’t take that for granted, this past week I allowed some of my old life to creep back in and God bought me to the scripture above. He said to me “Look at all I have blessed you with! Look at where I am taking you! Don’t let your old life rise up again, you have no need for it, it will never satisfy and you know it!”

It’s not about being perfect and living a sinless life. It’s about living the life that god has laid out for you. God has bought you a long way from the person you used to be. He has bestowed upon you great gifts of grace and mercy. Don’t cast them to the side but make them like your family. Abide and dwell in the grace and mercy God has given you and move forward in you walk with Christ. We are not condemned so let us “go and sin no more.”

Morning Coffee Re-Post: 8/27/14 What It’s All About! (This Is Why We Do What We Do)

mc

DO THIS FIRST!!!!!!  PLAY VIDEO BEFORE YOU CONTINUE!!!

God has interrupted the series on the beatitudes. There is something here that he wants us all to learn.

“And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night.  An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.  But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.  Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.  This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”  Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” (Luke 2:8-14 NIV)

I don’t know about you but, when I watched the video and then read the above scripture, I could not help but tear up and cry. Right before I sat down to write God bought the video and the scripture to my remembrance.  It reset everything in line for me. All of us have a ministry of some sort and they are to be centered on the goal of drawing people closer to Christ. Our life should reflect Christ; He is the reason why we do what we do. He should be the reason why we have revivals, not to set church attendance records. He should be the reason why we sell multi platinum worship albums. You can win all the “of the year awards” and break the records for sales on iTunes. If that album did not draw one soul closer to God, you have failed. And you work was in vain. He should be the reason why I write these devotions and he is the reason why I write Morning Coffee Devotions.

Family, I’m going to be honest with you. Past few weeks I got caught up in the stats, I got wrapped up in how many views I got and what new country found the blog. First to God I repent I am sorry and to you my extended family I am sorry please forgive me. God has reminded me what it’s all about, and why I do the things He has called me to do!

I pray that this has ministered to you.

Morning Coffee Re-Post: 11/5/14 With Expanded Boarders Comes More Responsibility

cropped-mc.png

Morning Coffee 11/5/14 With Expanded Boarders Comes More Responsibility

“Jabez was more honorable than his brothers. His mother had named him Jabez,  saying, “I gave birth to him in pain.”  Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request.” (1 Chronicles 4:9-10 NIV)

Good Morning family! Above we have the prayer of Jabez. This prayer has been covered in many books. And is one of the more well known prayers in the bible. As I have said many times before in our devotions do look at this with an “I read this a thousand times, attitude”. Clear your mind and listen.

As we have seen in scripture that God does not just toss out blessings of expansion to anyone! When God expands someones territory, He gives it to them because their heart is right and they are able to take care of the extra he is blessing them with. Read the story of the talents or check out Solomon’s prayer for wisdom. God replaced King Saul with King David because Saul’s heart was away from God and no longer managed the kingdom of Israel the way God wanted him to. David was consistent in serving God during his time as king; he made a few mistakes but was always seeking God.

When God does expand your borders, be ready to be put out of your comfort zone. What ever it is you want God to expand, be ready because your responsibility level just went up. So when you pray this prayer and God answers it, don’t be shocked, when He begins to ask you to do more. I’ll use myself as an example. Ever since I started doing these devotions God has called on me more than ever. He has told me to write at times when I did not want to write. Every day I hear him speaking to me on how He wants Morning Coffee Devotions to run. This is His ministry, in just the caretaker. God is expanding my boarders. And with that I have more responsibility!

Much Love & God Bless
