Morning Coffee 11/25/14 Encourage Yourself

“When David and his men saw the ruins and realized what had happened to their families, they wept until they could weep no more.  David’s two wives, Ahinoam from Jezreel and Abigail, the widow of Nabal from Carmel, were among those captured.  David was now in great danger because all his men were very bitter about losing their sons and daughters, and they began to talk of stoning him. But David found strength in the lord his God. Then he said to Abiathar the priest, “Bring me the ephod!” So Abiathar brought it.  Then David asked the lord, “Should I chase after this band of raiders? Will I catch them?” And the lord told him, “Yes, go after them. You will surely recover everything that was taken from you!” (1 Samuel 30:3-8 NLT)

Sometimes we can find our self in trying circumstances, and we are unable to find encouragement from the people or the environment around us. And will have no choice but to retreat to our prayer closet. We will have to God our ultimate source, the one who never fails. We cannot be moved by the situation around us. Do like David did, he got his motivation from God. Then sought the Lord for direction, then he Went and carried out those instruction with full confidence in God.

Family, when you do find yourself in adverse situations don’t get discouraged but be encouraged by your heavenly father, seek him, then go and carry out what he told you to do.

Much Love & God Bless
