Morning Coffee 11/12/14 I Am Beginning To Understand (focused on eternity)

“Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.  For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God.  And when Christ, who is your  life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory.” (Colssians 3:2-4 NLT)

Hello Family, I hope you are well.  As I sit here writing this devotion, the song I can only imagine is playing and it made me really think about why our minds and hearts should be focused on God and eternity and not this world.

The pains, trails of this earthly life will never end. Our flesh and the Holy Spirit living in us will always be at war. The holy spirit will pull us toward the things of God and our mortal bodies toward the things of this world. Today I grew tired of the battle, I just wanted God to zip me straight to heaven. In that moment God spoke to me and said “only I can satisfy.” All the scriptures I heard and read about focusing on God, His Kingdom and eternity came flooding through my mind. It is nothing But God that is keeping me and carrying me through this day.

“Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.  For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God.  And when Christ, who is your  life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory.” (Colssians 3:2-4 NLT)

Much Love & God Bless
