Morning Coffee 9/30/14 In Your Dreams!

“When it was time to leave, they returned to their own country by another route, for God had warned them in a dream not to return to Herod.” (Matthew 2:12 NLT)

“One night Joseph had a dream, and when he told his brothers about it, they hated him more than ever.  “Listen to this dream,” he said.  “We were out in the field, tying up bundles of grain. Suddenly my bundle stood up, and your bundles all gathered around and bowed low before mine!” (Genesis 37:5-7 NLT)

“Some time later, Pharaoh’s chief cup-bearer and chief baker offended their royal master.  Pharaoh became angry with these two officials,  and he put them in the prison where Joseph was, in the palace of the captain of the guard.  They remained in prison for quite some time, and the captain of the guard assigned them to Joseph, who looked after them. While they were in prison, Pharaoh’s cup-bearer and baker each had a dream one night, and each dream had its own meaning.  When Joseph saw them the next morning, he noticed that they both looked upset.  “Why do you look so worried today?” he asked them. And they replied, “We both had dreams last night, but no one can tell us what they mean.” “Interpreting dreams is God’s business,” Joseph replied. “Go ahead and tell me your dreams.” So the chief cup-bearer told Joseph his dream first. “In my dream,” he said, “I saw a grapevine in front of me.  The vine had three branches that began to bud and blossom, and soon it produced clusters of ripe grapes.  I was holding Pharaoh’s wine cup in my hand, so I took a cluster of grapes and squeezed the juice into the cup. Then I placed the cup in Pharaoh’s hand.” “This is what the dream means,” Joseph said. “The three branches represent three days.  Within three days Pharaoh will lift you up and restore you to your position as his chief cup-bearer.  And please remember me and do me a favor when things go well for you. Mention me to Pharaoh, so he might let me out of this place.  For I was kidnapped from my homeland, the land of the Hebrews, and now I’m here in prison, but I did nothing to deserve it.” When the chief baker saw that Joseph had given the first dream such a positive interpretation, he said to Joseph, “I had a dream, too. In my dream there were three baskets of white pastries stacked on my head.  The top basket contained all kinds of pastries for Pharaoh, but the birds came and ate them from the basket on my head.” “This is what the dream means,” Joseph told him. “The three baskets also represent three days.  Three days from now Pharaoh will lift you up and impale your body on a pole. Then birds will come and peck away at your flesh.” (Genesis 37:5-7 NLT)

Good morning family, As we clearly see from scriptures God will speak to us in our dreams there is no doubt about that. The three scriptures above are three different situations in which God spoke through dreams.

  1. God will speak very clearly to us in a dream where we won’t need an interpreter. We will have clear instruction on what that dream meant and what we need to do! We don’t know the exact details of the dream but it was clear enough for the three wise men to take immediate action! When we get these dreams we must not delay in doing what God told us to do!
  2. We will have God given dreams that is not meant for us to share with others. We may not fully understand the dream at that particular point in time. We don’t need to tell everyone that we love about what God shares with us personally (that’s devotion in its self). As we see with Joseph’s brothers, the people we hold dear to us may not be in the proper place in their life to receive your dream. So be cautious don’t be so quick to share a dream with a friend or love one. They may not have the best wishes for you!
  3. We will have dreams (sometimes repetitive) where we know its urgent but we don’t understand it and God will send someone to interpret the dream. When God speaks through the person who is interpreting, we need to receive what is said, good or bad. As we see from the story of the cup bearer and the baker. Don’t have a pre conception on what your dream was about, listen to the person whom God is speaking through and receive what is said.

Not all dreams we have are sent from God. The ones that are will impact you greatly they wont be dreams that you forget. Whatever the situation of the dream, go to God and take the proper action. The dreams God gives us are not meant to be pushed off as if it meant nothing. Be Open, Be Wise, and Be Ready for the dreams God gives you.

Words Of Worship: Just In Awe Of You! by Brandon Sawyer (aka APoetsHeart51)

Your Majesty is Supreme, Your Power is Unparalleled! Your Word is Final and Everlasting! We cannot fully comprehend You, You hung the stars and formed the galaxy’s, with nothing more than your words! You carved the deepest canyons and built the highest mountains, “The earth is your foot stool”, But you look down and you know my inner most thought! You crafted me in such great detail, i am grateful that you have given me breath to breathe! You could have snuffed me out, but you place your hand of favor on me. In spite of all my faults you still find value in me. I am in awe of You and who You are! I don’t deserve the air i breathe but You have given it to me! I am without words, there is nothing but awe. I sit here just in awe of You!

Morning Coffee 9/29/14 Addicted!

Don’t you realize that you become the slave of whatever you choose to obey? You can be a slave to sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God, which leads to righteous living.  Thank God! Once you were slaves of sin, but now you wholeheartedly obey this teaching we have given you.  Now you are free from your slavery to sin, and you have become slaves to righteous living. (Romans 6:16-18 NLT)

Good day family I pray you are in good spirits.  Life can really beat us up. Situations and problems arise that sometimes causes us to seek refuge and relief from other sources other than God. We can get addicted to these earthly sources of relief. For me it was pornography, for you it may be something else like food, drugs, TV.  Anything can become an addiction, it does not have to be the “big three” (sex, drugs, alcohol).

An addiction of this world can never be satisfied, its hunger will never stop. The more we feed the addiction the stronger it gets, It will pull us further and further away from the One we should be addicted to, and that is Jesus Christ. “Then God gave the people all these instructions: “I am the lord your God, who rescued you from the land of Egypt, the place of your slavery. “You must not have any other god but me. (Exodus 20:3 NLT)

Anything that pulls us away from God is a sin. If we do not turn from it, it will lead to destruction. “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23 NLT)

There is freedom from the addictions of this earthly life. Christ offers that freedom to us, He was crucified for our sins then three days later rose with all power so that we would not have to go to hell when we die. All we have to do is accept him as Lord of our life. . “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.  God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him. “There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son. And the judgment is based on this fact: God’s light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil. All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed. But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants. ” (John 3:16-21 NLT)

My friend Christ is knocking at the door of your heart. All you have to do is let him in. “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.  As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”    For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him,  for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:9-13 NIV)

Come and pray with me even if you were once with Christ and strayed away. You can comeback. Just cry out to Jesus, you don’t need big words, just and open heart to let Christ in. Let’s pray. Lord I know I have sinned against you. I know you have died on the cross for my sins and rose again. I need you I’m sorry for sinning against you. Please Lord; forgive me I will follow all the days of my life in Jesus name Amen!

If you just prayed that prayer you are now a follower of Christ welcome to the family of God. If it was re dedication welcome back! I want to encourage you to find a bible based church. Talk to God he is listening, He hears you, He is now your addiction. Ask him to give you good Christian friends I warn you your old addiction will still try and rise up. You may stumble and fall but you get back up repent ask God to forgive you and turn back to God. Don’t go back to the places that trigger that addiction. Ask god to completely change your Habits, He has and is still doing it for me. So He will do it for you!

If you need prayer I am here leave a comment in the comments section or email me at I will pray for you!

Morning Coffee 9/28/14 What to do with all these bricks? (Your Gifts Are Not For You!)

Morning Coffee 9/28/14   What to do with all these bricks?  (Your Gifts Are Not For You!)

God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.  Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen.  (1 Peter 4:10-11 NLT)

Hello family I hope you are well. We know God has given us gifts and talents; lately God has been really driving the point home that all the gifts and talents He has given me are not meant for me! I knew this but didn’t truly take it to heart.

No one person can do everything! We all have gifts that we need to be using to help the body of Christ. I am not just speaking about the body around the world but our local church bodies, in our schools, in our neighborhoods, wherever God sends us!

God has blessed us with these gifts and talents. Don’t take them and use it for you own self indulgent. I am good with computers, it is one of my greatest strengths but it has also shown itself be one of my greatest weakness. I have had many battles with pornography and other areas that are on the dark side of the computer realm. But I refuse to allow my gifts to be misused. God is showing me a picture of a brick; I can take that brick and do a whole lot of damage to myself and others. Or I can take that same brick and put it with other bricks and use it to rebuild a broken community.

God has given us all a brick or bricks. What will you do with yours?

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee 9/27/14 Our Counselor

“If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.”  (John 14:15-17 NIV)

Jesus ministry on earth is wrapping up. And he is preparing the disciples for what will come after He leaves. The disciples experience what Christ is talking about in Act 1:12-14.

The Holy Spirit is so much more than just some on who is our conscience. He is our very best friend, our ultimate counselor. We should not go a day without speaking to the Holy Spirit; He should be and needs to be involved in all our daily activities. Why?

  1. He is part of the God Head. He is and will always be in sync with God the Father and God the Son. Therefore He is the most reliable friend and advisor in our life.
  2. He will lead us and guide us in every part of our life, right down to the smallest detail. Ever since I could remember my mom has always ask the Holy Spirit what to wear each day. I thought it was pretty silly, until one day I tried it. One Sunday I walked into my closet and asked “what do I wear?” Well the outfit he put together was better than what I thought to put on, that day I got more complements on my attire than any time before. This is just a small example of how the Holy Spirit Can improve our day.

What better adviser than God the Holy Spirit. He knows everything that is going to happen during the day long before it happens. One thing I have asked of the Holy Spirit is to warn me of potential food or drink spills (I am sometimes a little clumsy) and he has. I have avoided many potential carpet stains.

I know the two examples above may seem small, but that is my point! The Holy Spirit should be involved in every part of our daily life, from the time we wake up to the time we go to sleep. Our day will be way better than we could have ever planned it. Just Try it, and watch how blessed your day is.

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee 9/26/14 Go Against The Grain

Morning Coffee 9/26/14   Go Against The Grain

“So then, since Christ suffered physical pain, you must arm yourselves with the same attitude he had, and be ready to suffer, too. For if you have suffered physically for Christ, you have finished with sin. You won’t spend the rest of your lives chasing your own desires, but you will be anxious to do the will of God.  You have had enough in the past of the evil things that godless people enjoy—their immorality and lust, their feasting and drunkenness and wild parties, and their terrible worship of idols. Of course, your former friends are surprised when you no longer plunge into the flood of wild and destructive things they do. So they slander you.  But remember that they will have to face God, who stands ready to judge everyone, both the living and the dead.” (1 Peter 4:1-5 NLT)

This scripture encourages me to keep perusing God. Just as I mentioned in the Christ understands our suffering devotion, Christ suffered for us. So we being followers of Christ will endure suffering too. We may lose some close friends that we used to hang with, they may not like the change God is making in you they may become your enemy. But that is ok keep going against the grain; you are on the right track let God deal with them. Be ready for the ridicule it will come sooner or later. Set your heart and mind on God, as the above scripture says “So then, since Christ suffered physical pain, you must arm yourselves with the same attitude he had, and be ready to suffer, too. For if you have suffered physically for Christ, you have finished with sin. You won’t spend the rest of your lives chasing your own desires, but you will be anxious to do the will of God.” (1 Peter 4:1-2 NLT)

My brother, my sister, God has already done an awesome work in your life. It does not matter if you given your life to Christ two minutes (if you have welcome to the family) ago or twelve years ago. God is changing you; He is processing you into his masterpiece. So again I say to you go against the grain of the world and follow in the example that Christ set for us.

Morning Coffee 9/25/14 Christ Understands Our Suffering

“Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, which had the power of death.  Only in this way could he set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying. We also know that the Son did not come to help angels; he came to help the descendants of Abraham.  Therefore, it was necessary for him to be made in every respect like us, his brothers and sisters, so that he could be our merciful and faithful High Priest before God. Then he could offer a sacrifice that would take away the sins of the people.  Since he himself has gone through suffering and testing, he is able to help us when we are being tested.” (Hebrews 2:14-18 NLT)

Hello Family, the above scripture really puts Christ’s sacrifice into perspective. This is only a fraction of the awesome empowering message that is in the first two chapters of Hebrews, I encourage you to grab a bible buddy and study Hebrews. We are studying it in my church bible study.

Too often our image of Christ does not take in the fact that He was in human flesh and dealt with human issues. Yes Christ has all power and is sinless and he came down from heaven that is all verified. Christ felt the same emotions we feel today, he had the same hunger we have. He has battled the same temptations we battle, He endured the trials a tribulation of a human life. Let this become more personal to you. Yes we know about the temptation of Christ after He fasted for forty days and forty nights. Christ endured so much more than that. Christ (God the son) humbled Himself for our sake. There were moments when He wanted to be alone and rest but the crowd followed he still ministered to them.

Yes Christ is all powerful and is God the Son and He performed awesome miracles and was the perfect sacrifice for our sins. Remember that for 33 years He lived in an earthly body and endured all that came with it!

Much Love & God Bless

Morning Coffee 4/10/14 Quality Time

Morning Coffee 4/10/14             Quality Time

“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.” (Rev 3:20) NIV

We are now fourteen years into the new millennium. It has bought many advances in technology at a speed never seen before. These advances and updates are supposed to make our live easier and more enjoyable. And for the most part they do but some of these advances are making us busier than we have ever been. Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Blogger, Pinterest, Android, Iphone, Ipad, etc. (the list goes on)

I am not knocking any of these things (I use most of them) they are great tools. The question is, are these tools taking up valuable time that God wants to use to speak to us? (I’ll put myself out there.) I love video games and I have had more than my fair share of them in my life. I sometimes spend hours late at night playing as much as I can. And when I was not playing them I was thinking about them. In church I would be building strategies on how I would get my madden 13 team to the next level when I should have been paying attention to the pastor. (Sorry pastor I’m more focused now)

Over the past few months God has been showing me signs that I need to put down the controller and pick up his Word. God has a plan for my life and if I am going to fulfill it I need to be obedient to his call. God doesn’t want anything in the way. Exodus 34:14 (NIV) “Do not worship any other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.” God wants a relationship with us and he will do whatever he needs to do to get our attention even if it means breaking our Madden 13 and 12. Jesus is knocking on the door of your heart today will you let him in? Will you submit your plans for his? I encourage you to think about what things and/or people are taking up time that God desires to spend with us. Don’t let him have to remove the things that you enjoy in order for him to get your attention, because he will if he needs to. “Our God Is a jealous God” let’s Give him the QUALITY time he deserves.

God Bless & Much Love
